My suspicion is that Apple may have refined memory management and swap space usage to a level where 8GB is good enough for most use cases (i.e. anything not too heavy; users who don't need any kind of virtualisation).All these reviews where done on 8GB machines and there's universal love (The Verge 'Could have been a 10' except for the 720p web cam).
I wonder if 16GB of memory makes a difference. I'll be finding out in a couple of hours...
Damn those reviews are making me want to return the 13" pro and get an air instead, apparently no one had serious throttling issues with the air, I was NOT expecting that
