I've literally just logged into the MBA, synced iCloud, and browsing Macrumors watching the Verge and MKB reviews above in 4K and here's the RAM usage...

But not noticing anything slow at all. I feel like for the first time ever, I really don't mind swap being used because the SSD is so bleeding fast. 3GB/s? That's like the speed of DDR3.

All these reviews where done on 8GB machines and there's universal love (The Verge 'Could have been a 10' except for the 720p web cam).

I wonder if 16GB of memory makes a difference. I'll be finding out in a couple of hours...

My suspicion is that Apple may have refined memory management and swap space usage to a level where 8GB is good enough for most use cases (i.e. anything not too heavy; users who don't need any kind of virtualisation).

Damn those reviews are making me want to return the 13" pro that is on the way and get an air instead, apparently no one had serious throttling issues with the air, I was NOT expecting that

Yeah but when does that happen, playing games? Also that stupid touchbar ugh, I want the brighter screen though :(

Now that the Air also has the P3 wide color support that the Pro has had.. I wonder if it is the same panel and just software limited to 400 nits like they limited it to 350 before? Another review I saw compared the M1 Air to their 2018 15" Pro and said the Air seemed to be brighter
