Hi everyone, so handbrake works pretty well. I just need some serious help adding chapters to my video files.

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tutorials/chaptertracks.html

I have quicktime pro and the steps provided on the link above are incredibly confusing. I'm stuck at step one, when I save a text file, quicktime will not open it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I made a thread a while back to help people do this but am missing one crucial piece... maybe somebody else can fill in the last part?

I'm a noob guys: How do I take the finished product (its a folder) and get it into iTunes

Hi all,

I've been trying to rip a DVD for a couple of days now and have come across alot of problems so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am using OS 10.3.9 so I'm unable to download the newest Handbrake because it is only available for OS 10.4 and anything before that is a command line instead of GUI interface.

I tried using an older version of Handbrake and it works like a charm but during the ripping process it seems that the application suddenly stops and a good chunk of the movie is there and playable but not complete.

I can't wait to finish my first DVD rip. Drinks are on me!

Thanks before,
Mr J

Help!! I am running a powerbook g4 1.5. I have been using mac the ripper and media fork to rip the dvd's. It worked ok for awhile but then recently, the quicktime movies would not have any sound after a few minutes. I would redo it and they would turn out fine. Now, it doesn't matter how many times I do it, no sound after a few minutes.

So, I upgraded to handbrake. Now, handbrake starts out real fast, 40 fps, then after about a half hour, it slows down to a crawl (7 or 8 fps) and after about 5 hrs, I still get no sound on the quicktime movie after a few minutes. So, help!!

some problems...

Okay, I followed the directions and it did work. I used mactheripper to rip the 4th disc of The Office and it ripped the whole main feature disc. But when I chose that file with handbrake, it only converts 3 minutes and 43 seconds of it.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Do these numbers and specifications work perfectly for the new nano as well? Or do some things need to be changed because it's not the same iPod?

Also, what are the default iSquint settings? I don't want the settings to be incorrect for my nano. =(

Q about converting with quicktime Pro

HI there, I love your post on how to rip DVD's to Ipod, really helpful!

But in the past I seemed to have ripped some dvds improperely, and they are now in .avi, or in Mpeg4 (but with some wrong settings I suppose) and therefore won't play on my Ipod..

I tried to convert them using Quicktime, but they always anded up either incompatible or with bad quality.

Since you guys seem to have the know how on al these video related stuff, I thought I'd try asking here.

Could you sum up the correct settings I have to use when I'm converting a video with Quicktime Pro?`
