Thank god the nightmare is almost over.

Seriously, though, I just want to be able to make text italic or bold. It's ****ing insane we can do all this random stuff in a text messaging app and can't do the most standard, basic level of formatting.

Message effects also need an overhaul - both approach and selection. The way to select effects is unintuitive and the effects themselves need an update.

Is it possible to leave RCS groups with three members, including yourself? The fact you can’t with iMessage is quite an oversight and I wonder if it will be changed. The biggest group I’ve had is 20, and it included SMS. Hopefully RCS improves those experiences too.
 
Oh, thank God. For a moment there, I was contemplating what I would do with my life. But thankfully, Apple comes through in the clutch and now, I can finally come out from under my security blanket and live again.
 
Great. But please do not mention this in the keynote. That’s just embarassing.

Afaik you can leave at any time, regardless of the group size.

You can have rcs without reaction options.
 
Scheduling text messages really undermines the whole text messaging culture. Can't we have any communications modes that are "real-time" anymore? Texting has always been understood to be a real-time interaction, in fact, that's why the typing indicator ("...") was added, to provide additional context to the real-time interaction. Receiving a text meant that there was a person on the other end who was ready to read a reply. With scheduled texts, a text becomes like an email - no real reason to read or respond in real-time, since the person on the other end may or may not even be present/attentive/awake. :rolleyes:
