Just ran some tests on my G3/600 w/Radeon 7000 that I've mega OC'd, um, changing the GPU and Memory on it had NO EFFECT on the results (I changed them, alot). See notes with Aticellerator II, turns out 3dmark, processor dependent, does not test my GPU, use Chimera for that. Explains why my benchmarks are really close to the guy with 6800, we both have G5s, fascinating to note that G5s are really close to the firepower of the new Intels though, I always wondered that. Intels still run cooler though and draw less power for same performance that being said. Just means I won't be upgrading this tower to a new Intel anytime soon.

I don't get it... this isn't 3dmark.... this is OpenMark... and it's SUPPOSED to give accurate results about your video card, and shouldn't be effected by programs you're running if they don't utilize the video card also.

And guys... TELL US HOW MUCH VIDEO RAM YOU HAVE WHEN YOU POST YOUR CARD MODEL. Several models are available with DIFFERENT amounts of VRAM.

Perhaps the way openmark works doesn't take your screen resolution into account?

16040

Also resolution does not seem to affect my video card, 1680x1050 and 19200x1200 produce same result

PMG5 Dual 2.3
X1900GT (personal cooling mod, Zalman VF900 and thermaltake cl-c0025 sinks with silver adhesive and silver paste, yeah it's a monster)

Daaaaaamn.

;)

iMac 2.0 GHz Last Gen White
1.5 GB RAM
128MB VRAM X1600
1440x900x32
Score: 9539

1,254,528 Triangles at 60FPS
2,765,952 Triangles at 30 FPS

^^^
The range at which I normally run WoW. Not bad at all considering that the Mac Pro mentioned by Krell100 is getting a little less than double my score at 512MB at the radeon X1900. Of course that is at a higher resolution than mine, but I am still very pleased with my iMac hardware, it's absolutely flawless!

Holy crap, my Dual 867 tied the previous Mac?!

9539 on my dual 867 MDD with the new Radeon 9800 128Mb I just installed! Is it weird that I am getting that score, or could this new card really be that much faster than my 9000 that was in there before?

Got a screenshot if someone can help me with posting it.

Hey everyone

I have a 6 going on 7yr old comp, 867 G4 with a Geforce 4Ti 4600, 1.128mb ram and 2 60gb hd which I don't think helps but came out pretty impressive. I am kind of shocked it did better then the faster comps on here which is hard to believe.
:D

A n d y

PS: But I still want a new comp, the new macpro's are overpriced with underclocked video cards, along with the new imacs underclocked ati HD cards. I wish apple would make a decent comp with a decent video card.

They said Leopard will increase the performance?
Why I got the exact score in Leopard and Tiger?
There is something tricky about how they score things?

thats only gpu work man... i think they meant that cpu work would be better/more imporved.
on the other hand, the drivers should have been improved. but they might only b using old tiger drivers for the development?? i have nfi why they would do that....... sounds stupid..

New iMac 20 inch (1Gb and 256Mb video RAM)
ATI Radeon 2600 PRO OpenGL
Resolution 1680x1050x32:

6139.

Seems low, or am I mistaken ?

G5 Dual 1.8ghz

So, my stat's

G5 PowerMac Dual 1.8 ghz
2ghz RAM
ATI Radeon x800 XT (AGP, of course) 256 RAM

Score:15501

Not that worse then the x1900 (PCI-X) scores, eh? I JUST installed the x800 an hour or so ago, and I'm not thrilled with the way it's handling WOW . . . but this benchmark seems pretty good.

Thoughts?
