15" 2.2 ghz Macbook Pro (Santa Rosa) with 128mb VRAM.
hhmm how the hell is that almost scoring as high as the 1900xt's?? its only 3000 points off it. i wonder if the 256vram version gets anything higher.

Sorry my friend, that's cpu work. No gfx card involved.
Cinebench also performs an OpenGL benchmark that does test the video card. I've used it to compare performance between Windows and OS X on Intel systems.
PowerBook G4 667
ATI Radeon 7000 OpenGL Engine
16MB VRAM
1280x800 32bpp w/external
Final Score: 225
This benchmark makes no sense. It's just a bunch of numbers.
The 7600gt/8600gt isn't twice as fast as the hd2600 in ogl, nor the x1600.
We don't know what makes the difference here; vram, gpu clock, vmem clock, gpu pipelines, cpu speed, resolution, drivers, etc...
And we see exact same numbers with equal computers...not even a digit is different...very stange...
We need a UB 3DMark![]()
Yeah i was VERY surprised that it would have the same EXACT score... maybe we should email the writer of the program.
Here's mine:

I have one but it suffers from video corruption in OpenGL intensive work. I think the board is cracked but it manges to work just fine otherwise.![]()
It's not a production machine. When you see video corruption, it usually means it's overheating... maybe you should think about replacing the fan. Radeons are notorious for their cooling to fail due to the heatsync not making contact on the GPU because in time the glue (yes ATI uses glue) gets brittle and loosens so the temperature goes up. Use a temperature monitor software to see. If you don't do anything about this, there is a good chance you could permanently damage your video card.
Not the fan. The problem is the heat sink, the metal block the fan is attached to, not making contact with the GPU. My Dual G5 shows all temperature monitors, 15 total, using Bresink's Temperature Monitor software. It's not a production machine.
The fan still spins up but I'll take a look at it when I have a chance.
Will Temperature Monitor poll the video card?
Take note this is in a G4.Not the fan. The problem is the heat sync, the black block the fan is attached to, not making contact with the GPU. My Dual G5 shows all temperature monitors, 15 total, using Bresink's Temperature Monitor software.
Take note this is in a G4.
I'll look into replacing the fan myself. Do you have any suggestions?
this is weird, I got a lower score
Dual 2GHz PowerPC G5, 5gb ram
nVIDIA GeForce 6800GT 256mb
1680x1050x32
Mac OSX 10.4.10

The thing is on boot it'll have corrupt graphics when you use OpenGL. It's fine in Finder.I have a DA G4 but did not install the temperature monitor software, I guess you can try.
Search newegg.com. Since you have a G4, you have more choices unlike the G5 towers which sometimes doesn't have enough room for the back mounting on some of the fan kits. The only one I know that works on my G5 are the Zalman's VGA kit and the only reason this works is, I did not attach the metal back bracket.
If you don't want to mess with the card, use a vga slot cooler like the one below, it's cheap and you don't void the card's warranty.
