I think the ad is overplaying the bend issue as it is more just exaggeration. But samsung playing on it is ingenious!
This is actually a very clever add and Apple deserves it. We all know that Apple would pounce all over the competition with snarky remarks if the tables were turned. In every keynote Apple attempts to throw "clever" jabs. Yes, I'm an Apple user, no, I'm not an irrational fanboy.

Let's get real people. This was pretty damn funny.
It's sad that you laugh when Apple takes a nudge against other makers, but you don't laugh when others strike back. Live a little.
Can you show me where Apple has taken a nudge at other makers in the past year? Two examples would do. I'm not being funny, I was just curious.
Read Cook's post on security. Direct and subtle jabs about Google's tracking and data collection.
Does that count, though? I'm referring to ad base. Eric (Google) didn't have all nice things to say about Apple. I expect CEO's and high rank execs to jab each other. I would like a marketing (visual) example.
The CEO of one of the largest companies on the planet, publishes two paragraphs about information security. That doesn't count?
Got to admit, Samsung does have a good public relations department.
Like Apple in the " I'm a Mac and I'm a PC" commercials? Or were those funny when the shoe was....well you get it........No, no they don't. Their advertisements make them look desperate.
Samsung didn't make this....it was an individual......This is so stupid! Maybe one day they can focus on their own devices.
Did people even read the article? That was created by a fan. Not officially from Samsung.
This is what Samsung tweeted.

Well it has started. Forums-videos-news outlets-Samsung Ads.
While the antenna issues on the 4 May be a lot worse, this issue is being blown out of proportion a lot more than most of the iPhone release issues.
