I didn't jump on board when the Note launched.
Usually with every flagship launch i hardly jump too but Note 10+ was very special, like i said before it was love at first sight. I just knew i'll be happy with it 😉
Ludatyk , what power mode do you use for your Note10+ ?
try to maximize the battery as much as possible. And I watch some Jim Is Promo vids and SakiTech.. to get the
No idea how you guys can use your fingerprint reader. Mine has a woeful success rate of something like 15%. I have even used up all six stored prints on the ONE finger but to no avail.
The Note 8 fingerprint reader isn't as good as my old Xperia or iPhones but it is way, way, way, way better than the reader on the Note 10 Plus which for some reason is complete garbage. It's literally a dealbreaker and I thought we had perfected fingerprint readers years ago. Yeah I know it's in-screen but if the tech isn't rready then don't give us it yet. Way to spoil a phone!A seriously annoying thing for me this; this is why I've now got rid of my Note 10 (bar also never using the S Pen etc)
I've got my Note 8 still and that finger print reader never fails to read my finger prints and generally they're shredded with the chalk I use in training...
Just thinking now of what to replace the Note 10 with, maybe a Pixel 4XL or an OP 8 Pro... Need to decide really
So DanB has a bad phone, my friend with his S20 Ultra has a bad phone too? Plus many S10/Note 10/S20 owners report garbage fingerprint readers online. There must be something about your fingers and prints that somehow agrees with the reader. You keep going on about this but I literally use mine without issue all the time, daily, hourly, frequently when I not at home.
Have you tried another phone? As in exchanged yours for another phone?
If it's as bad as you say, it shouldn't be hard proving it isn't working as intended.
Funny my experience and many others are as @Klyster notes, no issues. So DanB has a bad phone, my friend with his S20 Ultra has a bad phone too? A ton of people find the readers incredibly inconsistent. When retrieving saved bank cards and passwords etc I often struggle which can create delays and embarrassment. Seriously, I often have to take ten attempts to make one count.
I did find mine became less responsive after around 4 months. So I just deleted and re added my prints. A few mins work and works 9/10 ever since.Funny my experience and many others are as @Klyster notes, no issues.
Complaining here wont get it fixed take it in to be looked at

I'm convinced it's the way people set them up to begin with why they don't work properly for them.
As we noted before take it in and get it checked out as it seems you have a defective unitYeah, I have deleted and reinstalled my prints several times. In fact I have even gone so far as to store the same one thumb in all four positions. Still pony.
The fact that I, my friend and several people on the internet have the same problem tells me that this issue is widespread and not down to a defective phone. Perhaps some folk have fingers, prints or skin oils that work better with this kind of tech?As we noted before take it in and get it checked out as it seems you have a defective unit
But the inverse is equally true many do not have issues, take it in and have it checked then there is no more speculationThe fact that I, my friend and several people on the internet have the same problem tells me that this issue is widespread and not down to a defective phone. All I know is that me old Xperia fingerprint sensor worked 100% of the time for me. My Note 8 wasn't as good, maybe 90% of the time but this Note 10 Plus fingerprint reader works probably 10% of the time. It'a garbage.
Nowhere to take it. I would have to post it somewhere, I'm sure they would find no fault and then it would no doubt be returned to me with some scratches on...But the inverse is equally true many do not have issues, take it in and have it checked then there is no more speculation
That's a self inflicted problem if you chose not to buy from a physical store, get it checked.Nowhere to take it. I would have to post it somewhere, I'm sure they would find no fault and then it would no doubt be returned to me with some scratches on...
Huh? I bought from my carrier and after 4 months of ownership they won't take it back lol. Nor do they do repairs on site...and nor I expect is there anything wrong with my phone. In-screen fingerprint scanners are new tech and not fully ready for public consumption so far as I'm concerned....That's a self inflicted problem if you chose not to buy from a physical store, get it checked.

Its not up to them, refer to your local consumer protection laws and stand your ground. If the product if defective its up to the retailers to report it to the manufacturer on your behalf.
Loads of complaints here
I have enabled the face recognition which works a good 80% of the time. Ii still need the fingerprint reader for card payments though and it's a monumental pain in the @ss.Well, here we go you have a good reference from real users plus make a print out of your local consumer protection laws if it suites your case.
But seriously i wouldn't give a damn about FP scaner, i don't even use it.
