Now that the S5 has been announced officially, it's to speculate on what the Note 4 will have in store for us.

I expect a metal body and 4K display this time around. Also at least a 6" screen.

Good god do we really need this thread? Were talking about a device coming out very late Oct / November so 8 months away.

Basically take any new feature from the S5 (camera, finger print scanner) Add some pen features and a few new apps. Make it.1 of an inch bigger. Done......

But seriously there is too much time to go before you should be thinking of the Note 4.

It's never too early to think about Note 4 considering how much of a letdown the S5 announcement today was.

I think its better to talk about the Next big thing in the "Galaxy S5 Prime" than the Next-Even Bigger thing in the Note 4..:D;)

Hmm. Maybe people can tout the 4K display and metal display for the next 6 months, just so that when the note 4 comes out and it doesn't have that we can start banging the I'm so disappointed drum:p

I'm expecting a 5.9 inch screen. Don't see the note getting a 6 inch screen. Or maybe they have two models a 5.9 or a 6.0.

Features wise we will get the better camera, heart monitor, fingerprint scanner e,t,c..but there will be something better than we didn't see in the S5.

I actually like the back better on my note 3 than what is on the S5

Too early? Heck, I speculate of phones even 2-3 years ahead of schedule.

Like the iPhone 6 / 6s / 7 / 7s. I think we won't get 4 GB of RAM of any iPhones until iPhone 7 til 2016. The iPhone 6 / 6s (4.8 inch models) will just get 2 GB and 1080p screen. Last year's specs with a generation leading GPU.

Oh wait, this is a Note 4 we are talking here. I really can't predict it but I will say I would love Samsung to use a wrap-around display or even one that folds to eliminate the bulkiness. Samsung has the technology but they never seem to utilize fully what they have and just copy others. They don't want to lead in bleeding edge tech. Water resistance and fingerprint scanner was already seen last year with Sony and Apple. Samsung only want to lead in mass sales.

Samsung Galaxy S5 is generally the same generic design with a different back cover that isn't even as good as the Note 3.

The thing I worry about the Note 4 is how much they are going to try to emulate the Samsung Galaxy Mega which was a huge letdown.

I think a 5.9/6 inch screen, maybe 2560x1440 resolution at most. That Octo-core 64-bit Snapdragon that was announced too.

Probably still 3GB of RAM.

I expect at least 64-bit and 4 GB of RAM.

I noticed the Galaxy Note has increased the RAM by 1 GB ever year since its introduction in 2011. I was a bit surprised Samsung kept it at 2 GB of RAM for their S5 while Sony increased it to 3 GB with their Z2.

I thought the S5 would have 3GB too, the fact it didn't is what led me to guess 3GB for the Note 4.

You'd think that if they are mass producing these 3gb ram chips for the Note 3, it would surely be cost effective to throw them in the S5 too

The first note was 5.3, the note 2 was 5.5, the note 3 is 5.7. I'f it went to 5.9 it would be in keeping with the current rate of note screen increases. 6 inches would be the biggest jump in screen size for the note yet.

That didn't stop the S4 from increasing .1" from 5 to 5.1".

I know, but when you add .2 inches to 5.7 you get 5.9 and Samsung won't be able to resist the extra inch to introduce the world's first 6 inch phablet with s-pen. :D

Really would be hoping that the Note 4 will be 6.3"-7" in screen size. That would make it the ultimate tablet.

This is why I never cared for the S series. It's the test market for Samsung's true flagship the Note series where they make all the corrections and improvements.
