It’s going to be interesting. Will be purchasing any of the S21 range?
Tempted very tempted by the ultra but rather happy with fold 2. Might be wise if I wait to see what fold 3 comes with first

Could see AMD processor
Under display camera
S pen

I want a periscope lens and that tech is what's tempting me for the ultra but I would be gutted if it arrived on the fold 3. The fold is my perfect mini tablet and works well along side my 12 pro max

Wow were you reading my mind ? thats exactly i was thinking.

? Flat screen golden metal with purple not too bad.
I was hoping they would give us a curved display like the Note 20 Ultra. It doesn't look like that will be the case.

I like the look of some colours that have been shown off. I'm not sure which markets will get them tho, Samsung tend to have this thing where not all markets get all colour options. I think here in the U.K we get very few on the flagship models.

I criticized Apple when they did it and I'll criticize Samsung now. This is a ******** money grab hidden behind a PR move. I still blame Apple because Samsung wouldnt have the balls to pull a move like this without watching Apple first to see how big the backlash would be. Its a dirty move to save money and to get people to buy some accessories.
Consumers could vote NO with their wallets, but they won't.

I can't blame companies for moves like this when consumers accept everything... Even paying 1000$ or more for phones.

If it didn't sell well then companies would put the charger back. And if 1000$ didn't sell well those prices wouldn't show up again.

Makes little sense to get any model outside of the ultra. The s20 came with 12gb of ram.

I’ll cop a s20+ for cheap in a few weeks.

The Ultra looks like a good enough upgrade if you're on the S20 series but not really worth it if you're on the Note 20 Ultra. If rather have my S-Pen sit inside the phone.

I am looking for camera improvements....but might just settle for the flat display on the S21U

But I am really enjoying my 12 pro max and might skip the S21 models and see if Google releases a larger Pixel 6XL later this year.

Blame it on carrier subsidies or contracts. For many people in the western countries, $1000 phone simply means a few more dollars monthly on top of their existing wireless bill. And for the charger, at least Samsung has used USB-C as standard for years, and bundled USB-C fast chargers even on their mid range phones, unlike Apple. Still annoying, but more tolerable.

Meanwhile globally, consumers do vote with their wallet. The best selling Samsung phones are the mid and low end A series, not their flagships. Imo as long as there’s choice, and choice is abundant on Android, it’s fine for Samsung to push the high end for bleeding edge tech (eg. Foldables).
