Ohh so you never use your auto cloud storage, or even take a photo of the S21U with your IPhone

It's unfortunate considering all the help you can get here from many of us with all the key problems you have had with your Note 10, S21U and S3 and not one picture or screenshot so we may assist

You must be really disappointed to have had so many lemons
Is there really any need for the sarcasm Steve. I didn't use the Samsung Cloud storage because I already have iCloud. And the only photo I took of The S21 Ultra was the one I posted when it arrived on this very forum.

I never had any "key problems" with the Note 20 Ultra, the only issue was with battery life/Exynos and was why I sent it back. I decided to send The S21 Ultra back because I just didn't like it as much as I liked the Note 20 Ultra in terms of design and the internal SPen, also and it was a big issue for me was the fact that I really didn't like the Galaxy Watch 3, it was bulkier and more clunky than my Apple Watch, which in my opinion is a much better smartwatch. The Galaxy Watch 3 also wasn't as accurate at tracking runs (it would miss out parts of my run).

So I decided to send them back, IOS and Apple clearly suit me better. I tried them, I didn't like them and so I returned them, no harm done.

Thanks for the heads up. I am definitely not going to buy the S21 Ultra now. I'm so glad someone has shown me the horrors of that camera and lack luster performance overall. I will now overlook all the other overwhelming positive responses and experiences world wide, about this device, and I will stay away from the S21 Ultra. And I will stay with my current device that not a single person has reported a single issue with, and if they did, that's OK, because they're probably making it up.
No one said you should stay away from The S21 Ultra, no where did I say that. I've posted my personal experience with the device in the short time that I had them. I never claimed people shouldn't buy it. It's just not for me.

No offense to you, but I think you woulda eventually found fault with the Note20 Ultra and return back to the iPhone. Just by your conclusion Apple suits you better. I'm not sure why you wanted to try out Galaxy/Android, perhaps... out of boredom. I'm not doubting your sincerity... but your clearly into iPhone/iOS and there's nothing wrong with that.

Edit. Meaning if the battery wasn't the issue

It's not sarcasm more like skeptical, not one screenshot or photo and if they were not key problems we certainly see plenty or rinse and repeats comments on why you retuned them on one or two points and not just preference based.

No one is quibbling on preferences but equally no one is consistently having issues that you have had on 3 devices that you retuned, sorry too many accumulated coincidences IMO

It was exactly that reason, boredom of IOS and iPhone. I don’t deny that, the Apple ecosystem has worked for me for years (with a couple of niggles here and there), I just wanted to try something different, see if I could like Android.

I just found a couple of things wrong that I personally didn’t like. I’m not saying that they are deal breakers for everyone, but me personally they were just another reason to return them.

I’m not the only one who has had issues with the Watch not tracking fitness properly. Nor am I the only person who has had an issue with the Exynos battery life on the Note 20 Ultra (as you know a few people also posted about it) and it seems I’m also not the only one who has been less than impressed with the S21 Ultra camera quality.

I’m not saying that they are deal breakers for everyone. But for me personally I returned them because the Watch 3 I knew I wasn’t going to keep it after a few days, I didn’t like the design and the less accurate fitness tracking. Keeping the phone would of been a pain as I would of had 2 phones, iPhone in order to still use my Apple Watch and the S21 Ultra as the main one.

However I wasn’t as impressed compared to the Notes design and the camera issue. Even without the camera issue I probably would of returned it.

You had limited interest to try and resolve many of the issues you had because of preconceived preferences, which is fine.

This is self evident from the lack of screenshots etc and some resemblance of actual data which is padded out by others experiences as you note above

Just saying the watch is less accurate opposed to I only had it a few days, could not find the settings to improve accuracy and only tried a couple of times, places an entirely different perspective and typical of your responses you repeat.

BTW Any cheap 2nd hand reasonably current IPhone keeps your AW functioning

Sorry but I think devices should work when you set them up out the box. And I did find the settings, tweaked them and tested it again on another run, so please don’t tell me what I did or didn’t do. I really don’t know why you feel the need to quote me on this. If you don’t like my opinions or doubt my experiences, it’s fine you don’t have to respond to me or even read my posts.

I contributed my opinion, like it or not it’s my honest opinion and experience, I’m not going to say otherwise just to validate what you may think.

I don’t think we need to keep going backwards and forwards, the devices are on the way back to Samsung and I’m back on iPhone and Apple Watch. There really is no point in us continuing this, we obviously differ in a big way.

To be fair to @Dave245 he is right when he states Apple devices tend to just function with no user intervention. I have a mixed iOS and Android (Samsung) household and while the Android stuff has more options, it definitely requires more tinkering and maintenance.

My wife has a Samsung Watch Active 2 and while it's a nice smartwatch, it is definitely more problematic than my Apple Watch S5. It connects when it feels like it sometimes and went through a period of randomly draining the battery like crazy for no obvious reason.

My AW and iPhone, however, have had no issues. But they're definitely more boring. :)

To be fair, anecdotal experiences aren't the full story.

I have a nearly 5 year old GS3 frontier, it had a battery drain bug a few years ago, that was sorted withing a month or so via software, apart from that, still gets over a day on battery, works like a champ.

Our house is Android, ours tend to function with no user intervention, apart from, you know, using the device which usually requires touching the device.
We don't do much maintenance.

Now do apple watches have issues with connections? From a quick Google, I'd say yes, and some of the fixes are rather convoluted.

Has the Apple watch had battery draining issues in the past? Damn right it has.

Most issues experienced by ios and android users have the equivalent on the opposite system.

As for Dave switching back after trying, good for Dave, he doesn't need to justify his reason, and he did justify his reason and no-one should begrudge him for doing so.

It is a shame as it does seem the phone itself may have been faulty but Dave ultimately wasn't satisfied.

I myself, have the exynos S21 Ultra and mine is near perfect, the warming issues I has seem to have disappeared and I've only had one update that I got after I set up my phone.

But this is all anecdotal, so take it with a pinch of salt......

My S21U phantom blue is finally shipping after so many delay notifications. First it was delayed with no date then delayed shipping for another 30 days then finally shipping then delayed again then shipped out today from TX where it might be delayed due to weather. Almost settled for the iPhone with the ugly notch and gimped iOS.

There's just a bigger learning curve with this phone. The payoff is great but it can be frustrating at times.

Not a single issue? You must live in a bubble. I don't comment much on here but that's a ridiculous claim. Go check r/Samsung r/android XDA forums and every major android website. EVERY phone including the iPhone has its issues . Just cause you haven't had a problem does NOT make other ppl who have issues irrelevant. Girl bye

What's that quote from Einstein in reference to doing the same thing over and over....oh nevermind. Anyway, Rinse, Repeat. See you here, same Bat Time, same Bat Channel on the next Galaxy flagship folks.

This may sound crazy, but did you take the protective film off the camera?
Lol turns phone over to check the lenses, realizes I’m holding my iPhone. 🤣

Okay moving right on to the correct phone, I see it does look like there’s little films on each lens. WTH? Nah that can’t be right. I’m afraid to go poking at them. Most of my photos look fine.

edit: I can’t really tell what I’m looking at. At any rate I did remove the big one piece film when I got the phone. I don’t think there’s another layer of individual films after that. I think I’m just seeing the edge of the lenses.

Yeah it seems to me that he's looking for reasons to validate staying with the iphone. I think he's aware of advances that are being made in the phone world and curiosity makes him want to check it out, but ultimately he's entrenched in Apple's camp. So he then finds a reason to overlook those advancements and validate not having the new and current technology by finding a back breaking issue every time. Then a new phone comes out, and it's rinse and repeat.

We have/had AW2,3,4 and 5 and none of this issues.

Like I was trying to explain, anecdotal experience doesn't always represent others people's realities.

Just because you have or haven't, doesn't mean others have or haven't.
Much the same as a subsection on a forum with a few repeat whingers doesn't automatically mean what they experience is what 99% of others experience.

I really shouldn't need to explain this, it's so basic.

I just wanted to try the S21 Ultra as it looked good. No where is open at the moment to test new phones out in store. I brought it, I tested it out and it didn’t work for me. It’s really that simple, there’s no great mystery 🤣

I didn’t hate the S21 Ultra, it’s a nice looking phone (granted I did prefer the Note 20 Ultras design, but battery life was bad with that). The Watch 3 was what I really didn’t like.

My curiosity with both Android and Samsung devices is satisfied, I’ve learned that iOS and Apple devices suit me better.

iOS and Apple serve me better. However I’ve come to the realisation that every time Samsung release a new phone I will be yearning to try it out and then stopping myself by coming up with all these reasons why I shouldn’t get the new phone. Even if I manage to stop myself this time when the note 21 ultra comes out it will be the same thing. So I’m coming round to the idea that I should just get the S21 ultra and keep it with my iPhone. That way my Samsung urge will be satisfied and will not keep popping up. If I get the phone and then return it. I will keep thinking about what if I got another samsung phone or regretting sending it back like I did with the note 10+. I’m working straight through until Friday this week as I’m covering for colleagues who are self isolating. Then I’m off for two weeks on annual leave. That would be a nice time to get a new phone to play with. I think I will order it on Friday and just enjoy it for what it is. Regardless of whether it fits into my ecosystem or not!
