Samsung site is now showing that my phone won't arrive until 3/25.

I pre-preordered, with their reservation system. Placed my order right after unpacked, from the Samsung site. They committed to get me my phone on launch day, and then reneged, and now have me waiting a month.

Meanwhile there are people who ordered within days of launch, who got their phone early.

I am starting to get really annoyed with this. Second year in a row, I am stuck waiting.

I'm buying a new phone this month. I've been struggling between the Pixel 6 Pro, S22+ and 13 Pro/Max, but I keep reading this thread, and it makes me reminisce about my well-used Note 4 (loved that phone). So now, thanks to all of you and your positive comments about the Ultra, I've added it to my already impossible mix of choices!

Yeah im trying to be patient as I wait on special edition sky blue. If i had stuck with white or ordered during the event, I’d probably already have my phone, but I was dumb and thought on it a few days. I knew as I ordered 2/13 I’d be waiting. Did some wishful thinking it might come early (actually, magical thinking in these times). I also had a heck of a time and long wait getting a blue 13 Pro 256 this fall so patience is in order.

All good choices. Having all 3 of them and using the S22 Ultra for a couple weeks I can without a doubt say the S22U is the one device I wouldn't give up. P6P camera may be slightly better if comparing pics side by side and I prefer the Night mode of the P6P but the S22U camera is right there and love the zoom capabilities. Battery life and performance of the Tensor chip with graphic intense games had kinda turned me off of the P6P. The 13PM is great too and is a battery champ but I'm just not an iOS fan anymore. I prefer the S22U display and still don't like how the notch eats into the display all these years later.

It's going to be worth it when that sky blue shows up with those black sides that is one good looking phone... Definitely worth the wait hopefully comes sooner than later

Fine. No problems for me. I just packed off my S21 Ultra and sent it off. I like the S22 Ultra a lot. I haven't had much of a life the last 3 days but I did get enough time with it earlier to do some reading and general use. I am glad I bought it.
Thank you, and wishing you the very best for all the concerns you’re going through…
Do you think PWM is better or worse compared to s21 ultra? I’m using it right now, and it feels a little worse after I used an iPhone 13 pro for two days (returned, PWM was too bad)

Lol well Samsung is taking over my house. My clothes dryer died and was replaced with a Samsung one. My washer that I got a couple of years ago is also a Samsung. They don’t quite match, but the match to my washer was too expensive and not available for another two months. It’s hard sometimes to get appliances right now…so of course several of our major appliances have broken down during the pandemic supply chain issues.

Then I finally went ahead and preordered the Bespoke Stick Vacuum. I don’t usually use cordless vacs, but I decided to take a chance on this one since we are going into shedding season and I’m tired of lugging around my big corded vac just to get some fur tumbleweeds. The reason I don’t use cordless vacs is I hate emptying the bins. But the Samsung bin system will keep the dust out of my face. It’s way too expensive but I got some preorder discounts. Not as much as if I would have ordered in February though. However, I didn’t know if I could afford the expense then. I got Samsung care for free too.

Lol I got a dark green vac to match my S22 Ultra.

As far as phones go, I am still fond of my Pixel 6 Pro. But they’re roughly the same size and the display on the S22 Ultra is so stunning that most of the time I grab the Ultra. When I get more time, I want to see what I can do with Bixby. When I get my normal life back, I look forward to really getting into evaluating both phones. I’m hoping to resolve all the upheaval by summer.

I received a notice from Samsung last week that my Samsung exclusive Cream colored S22+ that was supposed to ship March 8th has been delayed with no expected ship date.

Frankly, while I am disappointed, with everything going on in the world today, I am not surprised by this.

I'm quite fond of Samsung as a multipurpose brand too 😁
I get that pwm situation is good, since you write about stunning display, but is it better or worse (still PWM-wise) than S21 Ultra?

To me, it’s better than S21 Ultra. But everyone responds to displays differently.

Edit: the S21 Ultra display wasn’t a problem for me, either. The S22 Ultra display is just a smidge easier on my eyes but only on maximum settings of resolution and variable refresh rates. On the S21 it was a bit of the opposite and I ran it on the settings designed to preserve battery life as variable refresh and max resolution were slightly less comfortable on that phone.

All great points to consider. Thanks for the rundown on my list of potential devices!

I just ordered the new Spigen case that has a sliding lens cover. I find myself getting a bit paranoid about the lenses after my S21 Ultra developed that line in the lens. Then I saw on Twitter some people had smashed camera lenses.

My iPhone lenses have always been so sturdy and tough. I never felt the need to baby them. But I’m not taking a chance here with the S22 Ultra lenses.

My LK film screen protector has so far been good and self healing for small scratches in the film.

I bought a Otterbox commuter case yesterday from Best Buy. The clear case from Samsung I’m going to use when I’m at work, as I don’t use the phone as much. I was a little worried about camera protection on the clear case.

I got a little concerned about the Samsung cases I got after some comments on Twitter that a person who was using the silicone case still found scratches on their phone’s back finish. That won’t stop me from using my Samsung cases but I’m definitely going to check for abrasive specks of grit.

Speaking of those, the sliding door for the camera on the new Spigen case could definitely do a lot of damage if any grit gets into the camera area. There’s not much space between the lenses and the door. So that’s something to be aware of. But otherwise I do like the new case and will find it helpful when transporting the phone in certain carry bags.

And in other news, I got full trade in value for my s21 Ultra despite the line on the lens. I just sent it in as is.

lol now I’m waiting for my new vacuum cleaner from Samsung. I’ve read reviews on their vacuums that the batteries don’t have a long runtime. That’s fine, it just needs to last long enough to work around a few small areas that are always getting covered in crumbs from snacking family members and kitty fur tumbleweeds. I’ve got my heavy duty vac for everything else.

I pre-ordered on the 13th, my husband on launch day, and our sky blue phones haven’t shipped; his was originally slated to arrive today. Still living vicariously through all of you!😅

I pre-ordered an S22 in mid-February from one of the main carriers here in Finland. I was told Samsung would release the phone Feb. 25 and I would receive it a few days later. Last week I received a text message saying the phone was delayed. No estimated release date. Today I visited the carrier and they have no update from Samsung, not even an anticipated release date.

I realize manufacturing schedules are not perfect these days but Samsung was very eager to have me pre-order and at the time of me doing so made no mention of possible delivery delays. As my Galaxy S10e is still going strong and I was somewhat concerned reading the reviews about the battery life in the normal S22, I have cancelled my order. I hope those of you waiting for delivery are rewarded soon.

I received my S22 Ultra earlier this week, and my takeaway is that it’s a solid phone, but I’m probably not going to keep it. It’s a good phone, and the Spen is nice, but it’s ultimately a bit too big for my hands. I’m probably going to end up selling it and swapping to an S22 instead.

Just a tiny FYI, I just canceled my Samsung vac order, which was backordered anyway. I don’t know why, probably because I’m just so exhausted these days, but it only just occurred to me the cleaning station uses bags. Derp. I went to check on the prices of bags for similar versions of its other cleaning stations. My eyes watered. lol. I’m just going to stick to my $29 corded stick vac. Sigh. For a vac it was gorgeous but those recurring costs are what bite you in the butt and since Covid such costs have skyrocketed. This was a luxury not a necessity so…canceled. Maybe next year.

As for my S22 Ultra…it traveled well in my backpack pocket with the new Spigen case that protects the camera. My Pixel 6 Pro has been making that trip and did fine even without a screen protector. I’m glad my Ultra can do the same.

I’m just bummed the case hides the green. I am happy Apple came out with dark green phones, too. I think I prefer the Samsung green though. But they’re all pretty to me.
