That’s the initial reaction I felt using my iPhone 12 mini. Then somehow I adjusted and was fine until I got the 13 Pro and somehow that knocked me off my ability to use the 12 mini for a long time. I tried the 12 mini again last week and for a short period of use it’s okay again! I’m hoping I can use it again in the summer months when I prefer the smaller phones. Of course now the annoying part will be switching my AT&T service from my 14 Pro Max to the Mini. I’ve not tried that yet with the e-Sim situation.Since I got my Z Fold 4 and iPad Mini 6 my eyes have felt bruised (like someone has been pressing their thumbs I into them) and watery. I'm not sure which the culprit is yet...😩
That was one sleek looking phone. It was aesthetically one of my favorites. I am gutted that mine had some sort of lens defect or crack. I became afraid to use it once I discovered this defect for fear of making it worse. I’d seen reports of the previous model year phones having their lens spontaneously fracture and fall out. I wanted to preserve what trade in value I could.Yep. Samsung black color is always great but nothing will beat the S21 Ultra Black
It's interesting that you had similar symptoms. I was wondering if it was tiredness or maybe even an allergy but deep down I felt fairly certain one of my new devices was the culprit. That’s the initial reaction I felt using my iPhone 12 mini. I’m sorry you’re having eye pain with one or possibly both of your newer devices.
Basically what it boiled down to is that some aspects of the displays aggravated a pre existing propensity to experience typical and atypical migraine symptoms. Sometimes pulse width modulation is the culprit. Sometimes it’s temporal dithering. Sometimes I can’t really be sure. I would love to consult with a neurologist but in this pandemic era access is very limited and that particular specialty is apparently swamped. If it’s not an emergency appointment, I’m looking at a wait of about a year! Keeping in mind I have to stay within my insurance plan and can’t see just anybody who might be available. It's interesting that you had similar symptoms. I just realized the last couple of days I am having the same symptoms if if I try to read on my iphone 14 Pro max for more than 20 minutes or so.It's interesting that you had similar symptoms. That's a shame. Maybe Apple will start putting panels that suit the sensitive eye folk on their devices at some point...I just realized the last couple of days I am having the same symptoms if if I try to read on my iphone 14 Pro max for more than 20 minutes or so.
Nevertheless, I am happy with this phone because I use it in partnership with my s23 Ultra. I'm going to have problems with any iphone at this point. Everything else about this particular phone is great. I'm happy with it. I just know I've got certain limitations using it.
I've been discussing things with my husband and I am not very likely to get the iphone 15. I think back to the S9+ I had that was pretty much the same color as this iphone and how happy I was with it and how much I've regretted trading it in within just a year. So I am really planning to hold onto this 14 Pro Max. And I did spring for the 1 TB model. That future proofs it a bit for me!
I'm happy with my s22 Ultra but looking forward to a tiny bit more refinement. I'll trial the S23 Ultra and hopefully if it's great I'd like to keep that two years as well. I'm wondering if I should splurge on 1 TB for the s23 Ultra, too. I'm not even sure it's going to be available. I know the 512 GB is going to be really expensive as it is. But if I can get it it might be worth it. I fill up more space on my Samsungs than I do on iphones. I do miss the SD card storage.
Oh yes I miss just pulling the SD card out and putting it into my new phones. I didn't need that storage to be fast, I just needed it to be there, keeping files backed up and accessible regardless of access to any cloud storage. That's a shame. Maybe Apple will start putting panels that suit the sensitive eye folk on their devices at some point...
I sure miss the SD storage too! My current Samsung is my first without it and aside from the cost saving Vs internal storage I also find (*found ☹️) transferring photos and videos between other Samsung phones so much easier & quicker.
Some people miss iris scanning but that caused really bad eye pain to me and my husband
After seeing the rumor that Apple may bring back just curved bezels, I'm even more determined to sit out the next upgrade. I really dealt with a lot of frustration trying to get screen protectors to adhere well to my iphone SE2, SE3, and iphone 11. Even when they do manage to stick, lint accumulates where the screen protector either overhangs where the curve begins or falls short of it. And of course the curved part, small though it may be, can't be protected.Poll from Androidpolice.com

Hm, got scratches on every iphone i had… and i use to have it in pocket alone without any other things…
Oh trust me, I need one. I think even the film one I have on my S23 Ultra has saved it a few times. I have a really good one on it. It's self healing. It feels barely there but it's thick enough to work. Unfortunately I don't remember which brand it was. I ordered two brands at the same time. One was annoying and one was obviously this good one. I have no idea which was which. The last time i used screen protector was on my s7 edge, it peeled out and wasn’t comfortable so i just threw it away. With the improved scrach resistant gorilla glass i don't think you need a screen protector.
I was reading how their focusing works. It sounds like it needs a pattern to do its best focusing. I wonder if that’s why my cats with white blotches or all black cats come out blurry a lot but my striped cats are almost always in focus. 🤔Samsung introduces the Galaxy S23 Ultra's 200MP camera sensor

Arrrghhh. It took me forever but I finally got a doctor's appointment for my kid...right on February 1st. It's in the morning. I'll have to check when the event is. I hope I can get free in time. I can't reschedule. Getting any kind of medical appointments these days is like getting an audience with the Pope. At least where we live. Serious shortage of medical services.
Little point having more endurance when the OS is just a bug fest, Apples QC never been so low on there softwareSamsung is bragging about the cameras and its overclocked chipset but really everyone just wants the battery life to atleast somewhat remotely match the iPhone and fix the animation stutters in OneUI. The iphone 14 Pro Max is in just another class in battery life and 120hz on the iPhone is significantly smoother than the S22U
