So what you are saying is that because I disagree with the way you interpret modern technology as meaningless, as there will always be something better it makes my opinion annoying. Thanks for that, you may want to read up how forums work.

Thanks for the tip! I just downloaded all the information on how forums work. Turns out there is a thing called the ignore button.

Edit : Wow.... works amazing!

The iPhone is the only phone which works perfectly with both my Microsoft and Apple devices

Majority of the reason is because I prefer a whole ecosystem and since there is no Android tablet out there which competes with iPad the only thing which works with it is iPhone
Then it confuses me why you convey absolute dislike for anything Apple on these boards. I can appreciate it when people criticise because they want Apple to do better but you seem to dislike everything from Apples business philosophy to the devices themselves.

I would argue that the Microsoft surface tablet competes with the iPad in terms of things it can do, but it's not to my tastes when I already have a laptop. I prefer a tablet as a surfing tool and an extension of my phone, not for productivity.

Actually I was pretty satisfied with my iOS devices until I updated them from iOS 8 to 9 and since then I keep having these annoying stutters on both my devices .Its my firm belief that they are a part of planned obsolescence policy by Apple because both of these devices didn't show a hint of lag on iOS 8
It's pretty jarring when the 2 Nexus devices I updated from Lollipop to Marshmallow didn't show any degradation in performance but my Apple devices did

You should look at the spare iPad Mini 1 on iOS 9 .I would actually prefer Android Jellybean over using that

Overall a unsatisfactory experience and I can't even get out as it's nearly $2500 dollars of Apple kit I have

As far as the Surface goes,it demolishes the iPad in productivity but what I use a tablet for is entertainment and Surface falls short of iPad there.Android is the only OS that could have competed with iOS in that area and to be perfectly honest even Microsoft is doing a better job than them at competing with iPad

And the punctuation and spacing still can't be quite figured out after all that time. Any chance of finally figuring out something as simple as that after all this time?

My husband has a Samsung. I have Apple. We pay when out as determined by who can pay without pulling out a wallet. This is currently a contest I'm happy to lose. He can use Samsung Pay everywhere. I can still only use Apple Pay in a limited number of places. I'm looking forward to Sammy finishing their test run in Korea and bringing it to Apple. Best of both possible worlds.

Having just come back from an extended stay in Canada, I can definitely say I hate chip and pin.

In Europe 9 times out of 10 mag strip reader is disabled due to security reasons. So here Apple has advantage of supporting more banks.

That really shouldn't be doing anything strange like that at all. Are you somehow just not putting spaces after periods and commas and other punctuation?

I don't know why it doesn't happen automatically. On Windows 10 Mobile and Android it happens automatically

The irony is that US is Apple's home turf and Samsung Pay has a coverage of 7 out of 10

Are you sure that is Apple falling behind or is it the banks and chain stores/restaurants just going for the easy option?
The banks and outlets are stubborn.Samsung simply capitalised on it

A totally unrelated disadvantage of Apple Pay not being supported.I used to not have a case on my iPhone and while taking my wallet out I have dropped my phone numerous times because it's so damn slippery

It didn't work in the uk as they are yet to launch here and it has no advantage anyway with swipe having been turned off nearly 10 years ago.

This is something anybody who doesn't own a Samsung phone in the US/Asia will care about though. Paying with a phone is a nice touch, but do you honestly care which is technically better in the global market? I know it's way down my list of worries.

Spacing after punctuation? Typically doesn't happen on its own, the end user simply puts a space in after a period or a comma or other punctuation just like after any other word that isn't followed by punctuation. Perhaps some keyboards add something like that automatically, but I don't believe that's a common thing, and more often than not, especially historically, it's simply just something that the end user
does in the process of typing (again, as they would after any other word when they move on to the next word).

I couldn't see going out without my credit cards though, at least the important ones like my business debit. I'd hate to be stuck with no battery, or have lost my phone and have no cash around. What surprises me is those all in one credit cards which were big and upcoming a few years ago aren't popular. You can put all your cards into a single card, and it has a battery that lasts for months. https://plastc.com/ You still get magnetic swipe and cool options like remote wipe. I suppose it's nice to be able to sort cards and perform functions on a smartphone screen though.

Edit: I see now that the plastc card hasn't been released yet.

I've paid once with my phone, tbh, felt a bit of a geek, and just hoped it wud work.. can't see any advantage over whipping out a card and doing contactless..
I use Apple Pay every day. I keep all my cards in my wallet so when Apple Pay is accepted it is easier to pay quickly without digging into my back pocket and fumbling through my cards.

Depends where you are in the world though I suppose. It's so common where I am from, nobody really notices when you pay with your phone.

Does Samsung Pay work in place of chip cards?

Where I'm located in the US no place accepts "swiping" anymore. I think 7-11 was the last big business I saw that FINALLY requires you to use your chip. You either use a card with a chip, cash, or a form of NFC. And I've never been to a business that Samsung and Apple Pay aren't both accepted in their NFC form.

I use ApplePay quite often and I'm sure I would use Samsung Pay as equally as often. I'm just having trouble seeing the major advantage of Samsung Pay aside from its use with a tech that credit card companies are desperately trying to make obsolete (granted its cool as crap I give you that).

So why would I (you) prefer one over the other? Serious question...

I prefer neither, a good old fashioned card works for me.. always has, always will.
