Want air actions?

This will be how lol

That difference seems pretty big, seriously. Makes me suspicious... Maybe the S25 Ultra has automatic brightness which boosts to the max in direct sunlight and S24 Ultra only at max brightness in manual mode?

Just seems too big a difference for Samsung not to mention it in marketing, specially when they are claiming both have the same brightness.

If true, that's awesome. To me, higher brightness levels is one of my top priorities when upgrading.

It's a shame there is no black S Pen this year. Not sure how I feel about the slightly blue one that comes with the Whitesilver.

The one thing I will say about Samsung, their perks are great at times. My first reaction was that this year's were rubbish. But upon further digging they are not bad at all.

Free buds 3
£200 off the phone
30% off accessories
Increased trade in deals
You should get double storage and use your 30% discount voucher to get the BT enabled S-Pen for Air Actions you like for taking photos remotely :)

Makes sense for Samsung to still offer it
I must admit, I think that's a page out of Apple's book.

Remove it to save a few cents of their own and let the folks who really want to use that feature pay for it. Z Fold users with Fold Edition S-Pen doesn't have the ability to use Air Actions, must buy a S-Pen Pro instead (even though Samsung no longer sells it).

Agreed but if that's what it took to keep prices down for most that do not use air actions its a reasonable compromise

I do kind of get it, when I read that only 1% use it (according to Samsungs research) at least it's better than having a price increase.

I wonder what of the research... did they focus solely on users who use the Air Action? Because 1% seems like a plausible number... I don't use it at all. But I think the number of users who use shutter button feature is much higher.

Therefore Samsung justify it by pointing out Air Action users... not the shutter button users.

This is a good point!! Personally I don’t use the shutter button feature every day, but when I do use it (usually in a group setting to take a picture with friends) it’s very useful.
But at the same time are they doing it because they know a lot of people will buy the watch and use the same feature, that’s a very Apple move if so. I’m not saying they are, there is no evidence it’s just a thought!

Well, now that the (buy separately) bluetooth S-Pen exist... lure people to buy the watch in order to use the feature doesn't hold much water now.

Got to hold the S25 Ultra today at BestBuy. Did a side by side size comparison with my S24 Ultra.
But I have to say the flat sides with chamfered edges and rounded corners are big hit for me. Just the ergonomics of those changes will make it so much easier to hold IMHO.
I cannot wait to get this phone hopefully next week.

I also took my S-Pen from the S24U and it fits PERFECTLY in the S25U!
The Samsung Rep at the store kinda winked at me and said it does fit!

They have them on Amazon for a nice price and different colors.

Does anyone know why Amazon aren’t offering monthly payments on the Ultra, at least in the UK, I’m sure they did this last year. It’s funny only the S25+ seems to offer this year.

Well, I guess @Dave245 it would appear that Samsung is urging users to try other means to use that shutter button feature.

I was checking out this Reddit thead and users are confirming that the S-Pen Pro won't connect to the S25U because it lacks BTLE IC (some module that allows for bluetooth connection). And based off that, there's no such thing as a bluetooth S-Pen (specifically for the S25U).

Also got some hands on time at a store earlier it really feels much better in the hand. Really love the flat sides!

I've got the new Gemini on my S24 Ultra. At least the features are not just limited to the S25 lineup.
