Anyone buying a used 15PM just to trade in? Cheapest on Swappa is $678. Best Buy gives $900 on the trade in. So $200-ish profit.

Total price for S25U 256 would be $533 after the trade in. Take the $200 profit from Swappa 15PM, brings total out of pocket say $350? And on top of that you get the $200 Best Buy gift card.

Is my bro math correct?

Although the jury is still out on what we may or may not have to pay for enhanced AI features in the future I would say chips like the new elite that allow for a lot more on device processing will mean if you don't opt to pay your are likely to have/keep more features for free :)
I got on a chat and inquired about the e-mail voucher. I was told the stacked discounts had been applied online.

Not sure if that is a US vs European customer thing since others over the pond received an e-mail voucher...

I groused about the discount not being as low on Buds3 Pro's as was the case with Buds2 Pro's last year. She dropped the (already discounted) price from $69 to $19 on them.

Ordered up 512 GB Ultra in Titanuim Black!

Biggest pain for me is waiting for O365 Intune to create a separate Work apps folder. It has taken a day or two for it to appear in the past when setting up a new phone.

Yes O365 intune can be a pain, normally I can get the work folder done but my company are A H's with security I have to be on a 3 way call with IT and my line manager to swap phones and its my phone.

I don't have a shutter issue with my Fold 6, I don't use my flip 5 for photos, but I agree would be nice if our folds cameras were at least on par with the S24/25

mrwhostheboss notes on some of the ai enhancements to the camera thanks to the new elite chip (so better than the S24) and notes the shutter speed improvements :)

another positive early test on the reduced shutter lag

Same story another year, youtubers were claiming that last year as well

Same on the Pixel front, though more globally with general UI lagginess.

Pixel camera and app integration is great but only ~15-20% of what I use on a mobile.

Google supposedly fixed the stuttery/jittery Pixel UI issues with Android 15.

The other area where there is no contest: Knox Secure Folder vs (half-baked) Pixel Private Space, that only works with Google launcher! I'll be with team Samsung for the foreseeable future.

Nice video on the S25 Ultra and some features no one really talks about like anti reflective display.

He also says the shutter lag has been fixed. His brother at the Samsung event tested this. He goes onto say he will test for himself when he gets an S25U for himself.

What you mean no one talks about the anti-reflective screen, literally every review on YT I’ve watched has mentioned this to one degree or another.

Another video showed blur on a night shot compared to the iPhone 16 pro. I am waiting for Alex's in depth test because I won't take the TECH WITH BENEFITS guy's word yet. He's less critical than Alex on Samsung.

Eventually we will get videos comparing pictures from the 16 PM and S25U. Those will be interesting to watch.
I saw another one earlier that the s25U beat the 16PM in low light rather easily.

Here is a side by side with the 16PM and S25U..
Both has some wins and losses....

Here's another camera test. Obviously it loses to the Sony camera haha but he puts it under various scenarios to test it out. It was good to see how it performs.

very excited for this honestly. I got the jet black one with the black sides but after looking at more footage I kinda wish I went with the silver one, it has a really nice shine to it. I also got the bud 3 pros for $45 because I want to use the S25 Ultra as my primary media consumption device when I'm out. The anti reflective display is really top tier.

based on the videos I've seen I don't think the cameras are at iPhone level yet outside of edge cases. I think I will continue using the iPhone for most photography and the S25 Ultra for zoom shots. I'll make final conclusions after I test myself. And nobody, iPhone included, beats the Chinese flagships for still photography yet.

It seems like as an overall package samsung's ultra range is the best all rounded android phone, maybe the best all rounded phone overall if you're not a fan of iOS. The Chinese smartphone software is a bit of a weak point from my experience but then again I haven't tested anything myself outside of vivo.

should be fun :)

Jet black 512GB s25 ultra has been ordered

Bit of a random question, but is there a way to put Pixel UI on Samsung?

Great for you.....that was the first YT video that mentioned the anti reflective display to that degree.

Well you obviously hadn’t looked at many if that was your experience. I mean the first video I watched about it mentioned it.

Want to see it up against the OP13, as that’s shady had two camera updates since launch. I’ve seen a number of prior Ultra owners airing there jumped ship to the OP13.
