The exynos S9 seems higher than other android phones on geekbench 4 for some reason. I don't personally own the exynos version of the S9 to make a comparison. A11 should be faster based on what I've read, but the iphone X's biggest weakness is the RAM management. I never liked it as iphone 7 on IOS 10 had great RAM management, and to go from there to the poor RAM management on the more expensive iphone X was disappointing. I do hope IOS 12 cleans this up.

No Apple fan can deny bad RAM management on iOS but it’s due to smaller amount of RAM too not so much bad management.

Notice how A11 beats Exynos hands down when opening apps? It’s not till the tail end when you need more ram to hold open all these apps is where it gets beat, it’s not because the CPU is slower but because there’s a smaller space to hold them all open and it has to reload the info.

So the argument of which is faster and more energy efficient chip, is the A11 .

The Android Army would label this as a Pure Apple Fan Boy statement !!

Does it really matter which chip has the highest synthetic benchmarks?

If I was to rate the feel and responsiveness of a phone I'd rank them like this: Pixel 2 > iPhone 8/X > Galaxy S9
And that's funny cause the Pixel has by far the weakest chip of these.

I'm not surprised Apple are focusing on speed for iOS 12, cause stock Android got them running for their money in this department.

From experience i can tell you Exynos chips are WAYYYY better compared to Crapdragon.. I got a chance to compare 2 S7's with both and guess which one aged well and which one didn't.

Maybe that was true for the s7 but not the s9

I think in daily use all of them fair enough:) I had iPhone X before since it came out. Now a month ago switched to s9+, both of them feels fast and smooth

Why are we talking about the iPhone X being fast. The iPhone 8 Plus is the fastest iPhone since less pixels to power and Same processor and ram.

Because part of the main topic/thread title specifically is discussing the A11 bionic processor with the iPhone X, given we know they both share the same processor inside the iPhone 8.
