Phablets have been done long before apple and Samsung’s foldable phones.I’d love to have an Apple “phablet” (The real phablet: phone and tablet at the same time!)

That’s on Apple to optimise the app for the fold 3. However there are other music apps that are optimised like Spotify and the ghastly YouTube music.
Federico Viticci of Macstories is trialing a fold 3 for now.
He’s an iPad guy so it will be interesting to hear his take on it.I’m guessing he‘s gonna have segment dedicated to his experience with the Fold on Connected podcast, but I wonder if he actually paid for it.. or is a loner.
But judging from his twitter feed.. he seems pleasantly delighted by it.
What do you mean?Phablets have been done long before apple and Samsung’s foldable phones.
I think they mean just big phones in general, the Note was considered a phablet when it first came out. What do you mean?
Yeah, I listened to him this morning . Found out he actually purchased with the intention of keeping it to make him balanced as a tech reviewer. He’s an iPad guy so it will be interesting to hear his take on it.
Yeah my Flip has shipped!Looks like some Samsung direct UK pre-orderes have shipped for delivery tomorrow.
Difficult to say as there have been no reviews. The specs indicate that they are equal to the S21/S20 camera but not as good as the S21 ultra camera.I’m about to order either a Flip or Fold. What are the main cameras comparable to? Currently have an iPhone 11. Are they at least better than that?
Thanks, that’s what’s been hinted at. Are the S21 cams decent?Difficult to say as there have been no reviews. The specs indicate that they are equal to the S21/S20 camera but not as good as the S21 ultra camera.
Just received this from Samsung and a dispatch email:
Hi, we’ve got some exciting news – your Galaxy Z Fold3 is arriving a week early.
In fact, get ready to unfold your new phone tomorrow, and explore features like folding glass technology, app multitasking and Flex mode. Stay tuned – our delivery partner will be in touch with more details, along with instructions for rescheduling if needed.
I doubt they will go no camera. That negates the ability to video chat on the main screen. The camera appears good enough to serve that purpose now. I'm sure it will be improved in future iterations of the fold. That under display camera is an odd one. As others have said, there’s plenty of other cameras on the thing that would do a better job.
I think they’d have been better leaving it off altogether although at least they’re giving it a go. I think we all know for Fold 4 there will either be no camera there, or they will have listened and improved.
UK - on another forum most of us have had the same emails.Where are you located? I still have the cancel option for mine. No status with FedEx yet either.

This is why it’ll be a while before I actually want to switch to a foldable:

Oh not saying it’s a Samsung issue. By all means, it looks like a great device. I just worry about App compatibility as a whole. This is not a Samsung issue. This is a developer issue. Given that the Z Fold 3 was intended for August 27th launch, Hulu did not anticipate UK buyers getting their early. Hulu is most likely working on an update. Same with Netflix. I expect an update in the play store next week or by first week of September.
Samsung have addressed this and gives an option to force apps to use the full screen - according to YouTube. This is not a Samsung issue. This is a developer issue.
