Since we are up north and a smaller town, our Apple store lines are small, our carrier lines are even smaller. Walk ins usually always get what they want!

I canceled my pre order launch day pickup from Apple to risk it and go to ATT in morning. They have the BOGO deal I couldn’t pass up on. But if they don’t have my model I am going to be a very unhappy person...
 
You get every new Apple services first before it's rolled out to the rest of the world 2 years later, let us Europeans have something!

Well if I can take a quick drive to Apple Park, that makes me entitled over someone who can only watch videos of it over the pond!:D

Who cares about getting an iPhone first? In California you get better support for old machines than in the EU.
 
Time zone may not be on your side (can’t help that) but you get the most available stock. EVERY year

Yes. Industrial regulations to deter people from taking photos of someone without their knowledge/consent and posting it online (usually porn sites) or sharing over social network. Same with Korea. This is also why there are multitudes of camera apps that advertise “no shutter sound” in the Japanese and Korean App Stores. Note that the regulation is not legally mandated (and thus disabling it by the user isn’t illegal either) but Apple chose to follow it voluntarily.

The first store was in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia. That whole time zone thing again.

I don't get what is the difference. You can't buy a phone that shipped to Australia. What's the problem with that? Is only for pride? Lol
