No I’m saying 21st launch for USA 8am PST/11amEST 22nd for all others! Wishful thinking

You know, the time zone difference does create similar “problems” for movie releases. I remember some Hollywood blockbusters opening effectively a day earlier in Korea compared to the US. I don’t tell spoilers to my American friends, of course. ;)

Apple Park is an hour away from me but yet we are the last to get it on launch day. Hey @Apple, launch your devices to your fellow Californians first! Us first world second, we share the same governor..Lol

Imagine how people from Hawaii feel.

Apple is an international company.

If iPhones and their software (including 3rd party) were developed, manufactured, and sold only in the US they would NEVER be what they are today.

Are youvalso sad to be the last one to get to new Year’s eve?

Can you be more specific? I'm not sure if you are saying Americans in Guatemala, Canada, Bolivia, Cuba, Brazil, or any other handful of American countries in the Western Hemisphere should be the ones to get their phones first.

Actually when they first started they only did ship here, and only ATT had the rights to them. so ATT made a killing being the only carrier to offer iPhones for a brief period.

No way bro, you have the beaches, clear water and non stop bikinis. You have absolutely nothing to complain about.. lol

As a NH resident I hear this all the time from MA residents who, ironically, love hopping the border to save a buck here on sales tax and cheap booze. The overall tax burden in NH is still one of the lowest in the country. MA may have lower property tax rates, but their home prices are so crazy expensive that you often still come out ahead in NH.

You save an extra $100 on phones. So wait, in your no tax states. Does that mean you pre order and walk away with one without paying a dime, If your on the installment plan??

I think so, but I’ve never purchased a phone on an installment plan.

I can see the argument For example, Samsung is a Korean company, and SK has gotten models of the Galaxy with more storage options, versions that never made it to the US. Sort of like a home field advantage. You could argue the same for Apple in the US.

But then you can take that argument farther. E.g., 47 percent of the US population lives in the eastern time zone - yet why do we have to get up at 3AM, when Pacific coasters get a much more agreeable midnight? Why can't orders start at Noon Pacific time, instead of midnight? Early iPhone versions used to go on order right after the event.,
