Hey All,

After much consideration i'm saying goodbye to iPhone 6S Plus and hello to Galaxy S7 Edge. Working in technology I think Apple has just been surpassed and is failing to innovate and make smart decisions. The whole "The only thing that has changed is everything" marketing was quite frankly, a joke..

Everytime I go into the Apple store and see people paying $29.99 for what should be a $9.99 cable it just makes me sick. I'm just tired of the whole deal that is Apple. Anyone else feel this way? Not saying they make bad products at all..

I'm certainly going to miss iMessages but that's about it. I'll be gaining a phone that is much more ergonomic, has a better screen, larger battery, better camera, external storage, wireless charging, etc..

Finally. I've been waiting to hear whether Internet Poster Gaprofitt was going to stick with iPhone or not.

Thanks.

I to will look at the reviews on the Galaxy S7. Specially the battery life, and Camera. With the new OS, hopefully this would be a nice contender.

I have a Note 5 and a 6s+ and switch between the two all the time. I feel there are some things Android does better than IOS and then there are things IOS does better than Android. Having both is the best of both worlds for me anyway.

I just recently switched back to Android myself. Got the S6 Edge. I'm pondering the S7 Edge but it just looks so big. I still have my Note 3 and was happy when I moved to the iPhone 5c as my daily driver. Now I'd moved up to the iPhone 6s in size (Just gifted my guy this phone and the iWatch). So the S6 Edge feels very similar in size. Not sure I'm ready to go back to Note 3 sizes just yet... @_@

We shall see.

The fact that you called out the S7 as being more ergonomic is hilarious.
Either way, enjoy the S7, it really is a wonderful phone. Not too sure why you think you need to justify and announce your departure here, but I suppose to each their own.

Why is it hilarious? It's 5mm less in width and makes a big difference in your hand. It's a smaller form factor..

From an actual ergonomic standpoint, neither phone really fits that term. Either way, if 5mm is somehow a big deal to you, then thank goodness you found relief. You don't like the iPhone, we get it. You are the "technology" guy after all.

I never said I didn't like the iPhone. I'm a virtualization engineer.

I am not wrong in saying that from an ergonomic standpoint NEITHER phone fits that term well. Again, reading failure on your part. Let me remind you that you felt it necessary to start a thread on a site dedicated primarily to Apple to announce your departure from a phone. Why did you do that? Do a search, there are countless threads that you could have joined or even read. You're not seeking advice. You're not attempting to start a rational discussion. You're simply telling folks that your belly hurts when you see folks buying a $30 cable and that you think the S7 is far superior in most ways that are most important. **** man, I don't totally disagree. I mean, your failure to read doesn't negate the fact that I said the S7 is a great phone.

Enjoy your phone. May you live a long happy life without arthritis in your hand from holding a phone that is not ergonomic.

Who even buy $30 dollar cables? I buy Anker lightning cables and even micro USB ones and they are cheap. Spent $9.99 for a ten foot cable and $11.99 for a 6 foot braided cable. Cheaper prices for micro USB ones

Well, I don't, but that was another point he was trying to make. The emotional discharge from watching people needlessly buy such things was giving him a belly ache. I feel for him, I've had a belly ache, it's not really fun.

I was dead set on getting the new 4" iPhone SE (or whatever they'll call it) because of the size (no premium Android phone that compact) and ability to sync perfectly with my iPad Air 2 (which I love).

However, I'm a huge photography geek and love good cameras in my smartphones, particularly ones that take great photos in low light as well as in bright daylight. That's what swayed me over to the Galaxy S7.

Yes, I'm a huge photography guy as well. I wasn't playing with it in Best Buy and the focusing times and quality was unreal. It also will shoot RAW.

If you're a huge photography geek why are you using a smartphone period? They all Suck compared to DSLR's. That being said the s7 while will be a good one it doesn't make the 6 or 6s have a bad camera. I actually love the iPhone camera app over Samsung ones based on my last Samsung phone the note 4
