If you're a huge photography geek why are you using a smartphone period? They all Suck compared to DSLR's. That being said the s7 while will be a good one it doesn't make the 6 or 6s have a bad camera. I actually love the iPhone camera app over Samsung ones based on my last Samsung phone the note 4

There is an old saying the best camera is the one you have with you. Not everyone lugs around a DSLR with huge lenses daily.. They are both good cameras, but the S7 smokes the iPhone in low light due to the 1.7 aperture and focusing acquisition time.

See you back soon! (This coming from someone who "switches" to Android multiple times a year and always comes back). Today I just keep an iPhone and an Android phone so I don't have to keep re-buying the same iPhone. Yes, I have and iPhone 6S Plus and the S7 Edge on pre-order in Black. :)

Both devices are great devices, but yes technically it isn't even close..
Do you even own an iPhone or just want to QQ more that the iPhone is inferior? I really don't give a care in the world why you're leaving or the fact that you are leaving. Don't need to waste the bandwidth to make this thread. Do I like the Samsung Galaxy s7? Yes I do. Would I buy one? Yes I would. Would I buy it instead of an iPhone 7? No I wouldn't would I buy it over my iPhone 6 plus currently? No I wouldn't. I love iMessage and the fact I can text (SMS) people with my Macbook Pro as long as it's on the same wifi network.

Still, what's the point of this thread? Do you feel better when saying this? Do you think anybody really is interested in your choice of phones? What is really the point of coming onto an Apple forum and declaring you're saying goodbye to the iPhone? Need attention? Need confirmation?

Amusing the vanity it takes to announce to an apple centric forum that one is leaving vs, just leaving. The proverbial thumbing of the nose to those who still find their 'inferior' iPhones to meet their needs.

Long story short, get over yourself. No one here cares you are leaving nor would have noticed you are gone. You found a phone you like better? Great! Leave the 'my phones better than your phone' to the adolescents and dig deep inside to find some class.

Since I can't edit on Tapatalk I'll make another post.....

You're simply announcing to the world you're buying a Samsung Galaxy s7.....if you wanted to do that there is Android centric forums for it

It's called fun discussion, why does there have to be a point? Someone uptight a bit?

+1

One thing is if you're considering switching and asking to debate which is better for your needs and announcing that you're buying a device that isn't Apple. Cool you bought ( in this case going to buy) a Samsung Galaxy S7. I hope you're happy with the device ( in this case going to be happy). But I don't care. This is the iPhone section not the Android section.

Why do you keep switching back?

Because in the end I love iOS and Android and permanently dropping my iPhone made me sad. I always want it back within a few weeks of playing with the Android. But conversely when I switch back to the iPhone I miss Android. Thus, my solution is to own and keep both. I used to do the buying/sell dance on swappa and it got old.

Naturally, a high end phone released today should look better on a spec sheet than a phone released six months ago. What will you do in six months when the iPhone 7 is released with even better specs, switch back?

I actually don't think that will happen. I think the iPhone 7 will be marginally better than iPhone 6s Plus.. There wasn't much point for Apple to even release 6s plus as the changes were so minimal.. The marketing campaign claiming otherwise was dishonest at best.

Genuinely curious then...why is the S7 better than the S6? It looks about the same to me.

Hey All,

After much consideration i'm saying goodbye to iPhone 6S Plus and hello to Galaxy S7 Edge. Working in technology I think Apple has just been surpassed and is failing to innovate and make smart decisions. The whole "The only thing that has changed is everything" marketing was quite frankly, a joke..

Everytime I go into the Apple store and see people paying $29.99 for what should be a $9.99 cable it just makes me sick. I'm just tired of the whole deal that is Apple. Anyone else feel this way? Not saying they make bad products at all..

I'm certainly going to miss iMessages but that's about it. I'll be gaining a phone that is much more ergonomic, has a better screen, larger battery, better camera, external storage, wireless charging, etc..
Good bye.

You'll be back! I gave up S6 Edge when 6s Plus came out. This is my first iPhone and there is no way you can get me to go back to Android. I gave up that gorgeous display in exchange for a smooth experience. Trust me, you will not like that Touchwiz lag. I watched a hands-on demo video of the S7 a couple days ago and the lady was swiping through the screens and it would take her a couple swipes to move through it. Everything she tried to do would take her a couple times! So the lag is still there. Good luck!! Oh yeah...hopefully they fixed that wonky fingerprint reader also...slow as heck compared to iPhone 6s plus. That S7 is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but beauty only goes so far. You might want to think about it!
