Why do you need constant updates?
I most likely will not be able to upgrade for a while, and there are some other reasons as well. Some apps either come first to iOS or never come at all on Android, connectivity with other iOS devices using AirDrop and continuity, and services like FaceTime and iMessage I can use with my friends. Only one of my friends use Google services like Hangouts, where as every other friends of mine use iMessage, FaceTime, Gamecenter etc. If many of my friends saw the benefits of Android and switched, I would too.

First arguments have to be made and none were.

Why do I need arguments for a matter of taste? Do you need arguments that I, personally, like something and dislike something else? De gustibus non est disputandum.

You, on the other hand, claim that I am religious when it comes to preferring Apple vs Samsung (because, in your mind, this is the only possible explanation), and do so without any facts or arguments - other than saying I wouldn't understand, which is a classic ad hominem attack. Look it up.

I don't know if you studied Logic in school, but you're making the basic logical errors in this discussion. Either way, it ends here, I will not participate any longer.

You were the one that commented about arguments.

Very true. It all depends on how heavily you use these services and how much your family and friends use these services. Majority of my friends and family use iOS, but it's not like we rely on it to communicate. Continuity I don't use, FaceTime I don't use, air drop i don't use, and game center I don't use as well. As far as apps going to iOS first, you have a point. However, that would be the last thing on my mind about switching. Plus, Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt android get some apps first as well? Anyway, different strokes for different folks. You cannot knock on anybody that chooses either or why they bash either. It's their opinion and choice and frankly, there is nothing you can do about it. On second thought, the only thing you could do is.........

For those blindly preaching about fast updates. Here's why it can be bad but we need them to be test guinea pigs.

http://researchcenter.paloaltonetwo...ted-transmission-bittorrent-client-installer/

This technically was not an update, those that actually updated from the app were not infected.

It was specially a hacked file on a companies website that likewise was undermined and only affected users downloading from there and not those who updated as normal in app.

However, as per usual, this was less about you being on topic, rather as an excuse just to throw more mud at Apple wasn't it ....

Stopped by the Apple store while at the mall. The staff was very friendly and helpful but none of the products impressed.

Tried the iPhone 6S Plus. It's just big physically but boring without personalization, SAMOLED, Wacom pen, split screen multitasking, PiP, etc. that have been around on non-iPhone devices for about half a century. Hopefully iPhone 7 will receive a major overhaul.

Wandered over to the iPod Pro. It's big but that's about it. No basics like pen to text transcription and using the pen to navigate the OS is flaky. Maybe that's why Apple wanted to get rid of that capability in a recent beta iOS release. Swiping away apps from the app switcher menu is inconsistent and sometimes takes half a dozen swipes with the pen before it took. Maybe 2nd gen will fix all the issues.

Skipped over the Macbook Air with the terrible low resolution TN display and tried the retina Macbook Pro 13.3. Force click gimmick is annoying so turned on tap to click in settings. A little better but didn't see a setting for double tap to drag. Just maximizing and minimizing Safari is kludgy if you've used any other modern OS.

Instead of making things better Apple is just making things bigger.

For someone who clearly has an irrational hatred of Apple products as your posts and post history stand testament, you do seem to spend an unhealthy amount of time on a specifically Apple based forum. What's that all about ?

iMessage and iCloud are both very important and key things with Apple that's for one would miss. Hell podcasts are one of my main things I use on my iPhone on a daily basics. Certainly something I could not do without now.
