Previously had a 12.9 which I returned and now have 11. Just installed a Tethys glass protector (I also ordered a Maxboost as a backup). Both are same just the different branding. Both ordered from Amazon.

Have had it on for over an hour and no significant issues. No problems at all with face ID. Only slight issue seems to be if you want to swipe up to unlock the iPad (after Face ID engages properly) it may not recognize the swipe up. For example, if you have the iPad on a stand (e.g. any tablet stand), swiping up may not engage. Also may happen when the iPad is on the Apple keyboard folio and in the tilted position (though you won't need to swipe up with the keyboard, just hit any key after Face ID engages). All other screen touches are fine including gestures (e.g. five fingers to close app).

As for Face ID, before I installed I deleted my Face ID profile. Installed the protector and made sure no bubbles were around any of the front cameras. I then set up Face ID again after installation and so far absolutely no problems.

Anyone found one with no touch sensitivity issues? I ordered an amFilm one off amazon with the top notch and FaceID works like normal. However, touch sensitivity is affected randomly and it’s quite annoying.

Just for info, posted on another thread that the new MediaDevil Magicscreen non glass screen protector works faultlessly with iPad Pro 11, Face ID, Apple Pencil, touch sensitivity and response....all ok and still so after over 24 hours. Tested with Apple Smart Keyboard and with folio.

Have no connections with MediaDevil but worth knowing that this one really does work and, in my own opinion, feels great with finger and pencil.

That’s a big issue. The swipe up to unlock process is a regular gesture, especially for those without a keyboard. It’d drive me insane if I had to repeat it every second unlock...

Got a feeling people may need to pay for a decent iPad Pro screen...Belkin should release one when they (& Apple) have approved it.

To this point, every review I’ve seen of a 11” glass screen protector (on these and other forums and Reddit) reported problems with touch sensitivity.

Hopefully, someone can figure it out and produce a product that works.

Can it perhaps somehow vary from unit to unit? I bought the revised Sparin 2-pack for the 11 (which seems to be unavailable yet again), and it works just perfectly. Face ID isn't an issue since the cutout is there, and touch sensitivity seems right on the money both with my fingers and with the Pencil.

Really weird situation here.

I have the iCarez matte protector for my iPP 11 and am having not problems with Face ID or touch sensitivity. It does what matte protectors do, though, as far as screen clarity goes. I use matte protectors on all my devices so I’m used to that but a lot of people don’t like it.

I bought this one from Amazon UK for the 11” iPad Pro and I have to report it’s completely fine. Nice big cutout for the Face ID so that works perfectly. No touch sensitivity issues whatsoever... it’s a tad more reflective than the normal iPad screen without a protector but that’s par for the course.

Bought the Tethys on Amazon, Face ID works fine but the random touch sensitivity issue is a problem

The tips are actually the same. No change to the texture. The cylindrical body of the pencil is now matte compared to the glossy finish of the older one.

It is the same tip. But there is more drag on the new iPad screen. I really noticed this when I cracked my screen protector while taking trial notes and took it off.

I got the MediaDevil Magicscreen for the 12.9 inch and, well, it’s a screen protector. It just works, wipes easily with a plain old tissue and no parallax (okay, maybe a minuscule amount because it’s not one atom thick but I’m also entirely new to drawing on a screen, never had a Cintiq or anything like that). I like the materials it’s made of, not sure if I can mention it here because even though it’s right on the packaging, Callum’s forum comments seem to avoid mentioning the components specifically...? And I’ll mention the micro fibre cloth is good too; I’ve bought an unrelated, dirt-cheap phone case in the past and that ‘cloth’ it came with was a 2 by 2 inch piece of papery stiffness I wouldn’t wipe my table with.

My overprotective mindset suggests you ditch the tissues too. Good quality microfibre only :D

I picked up an 11in Pro over Black Friday for a great deal online. Purchased the iPad Pro 11 keyboard case from Apple as well. The thing is, when it comes to screen protectors I always get glass for my phones. However, when it comes to iPad pros where I use the Pencil, I always go with thin plastic cheap sheets from eBay. Why? Because of the touch screen issues when the glass adhesive on most protectors. They do cause issues with the screens, though mostly minor. The plastic sheet adhesive is more or less very light and sort of a static cling on the screen. I’ve had no issues what so ever with the ones I’ve purchased off eBay for my Pro devices and it protects the screen from scratches as well as the keys on the new keyboard case. More or less this is just food for thought for others... do you really need a glass screen protector on your iPad? Obviously, only you know.. for me.. it will always be cheap sheets of plastic on the Pad’s... glass on the phones since I use those out and about a million times a day.

Just installed Omoton protector that I had purchased from Amazon (though it looks like they are sold out at the moment). No issues with Face ID and no touch issues.

Just got one of those today (well, it's a two-pack). Camera cutout - check. Perfect size. No touch or pen issues at all - very pleased.

I installed an Omoton glass screen protector on my new 11" iPP this morning and have had no issues with screen sensitivity using either my fingers or the pen.

I got a cheap one from Amazon. They have heaps. It's not terrible and there are no bubbles but I've had better ones. It also seems to mess with the touch sensitivity a bit. I'll probably keep it on until the decent brands sell one. Brand's called Geemee, and they don't seem to sell it on amazon.com (got mine from amazon.de). But I assume all the cheap ones like this come out of the same factory anyway.
