ok..... silly question regarding the armorsuit protectors:

is there a top protective sheet on top like there usually is on the iphone screen protectors?

i haven't seen anyone here mention one... and they don't talk about it on their smartwatch installation video.... so i'm assuming not (and i don't want to try to start picking at it to get something off that isn't there...)

thanx!

No. You just peel it right off the sheet that it comes on. The front is exposed from the instant you open the cardboard box.

I had issues installing the Amorsuit SP, major frustration with getting the edges down. However, I just got back from Best Buy from buying the Zagg for the 42mm.

Perfect install. Same type of wet install, but it went incredibly smooth. Obviously, the price is kinda nuts being 19.99 for ONE, but...it went on very easily and zero rainbow effect. Incredibly happy with it.

I'll take some pics later when able, if you want.

Guess it is true - 3 times is charm. :) over the past month I've purchased 3 different screen protectors for my AW sport. The first one was a disappointing little sticker that looked very cheap and left much of the screen exposed. So I decided to get a tempered screen protector because it feels more like the real screen and I like the one on my phone. I put it on and again way too much screen left uncovered and since it's a bit thicker it's very noticeable. After hearing other AW owners feedback, I purchased the Armoursuit. Had it applied in about 5 minute, covers the whole screen and looks very invisible. We have a winner!! I highly recommend this if you feel the need to protect your screen.

Posted in other thread, but I originally went with the skinomi tech glass (left) which was garbage, as the sides of the glass would not adhere properly. Now I'm using the armorsuit (right) and it's great!

Those reviews are all fake and paid for. They're all nearly identical and every one is 5 stars. Not only that, most were written BEFORE the watch was released. Give me a break. Are people this easily fooled? Complete BS. Spam.

Well, they could, not sure as I have not purchased the item myself, I am simply exploring the best solution for UK customers.

No need to throw a tantrum;

Another vote for Armorsuit. Its a little challenging to put on, mostly because there are no holes or buttons to line it up with, but with patience and a blow dryer it went on and is completely invisible. The feel is very slick as well. No one would know I am using protection! ;)

PS- Mega Tiny Corps protector is bad and a waste of money at this point. I give them credit for promptly refunding my money and promising to send out their new version when it comes out for free. Honorable people at least.

Having expensive, portable electronics and NOT putting some sort of protection on it is a lot like bareback sex: sure, it's conveinent, but it's ultimately risky, every day of the week.

At UPS, I'm with my guys (and girls) every day of the week. Up and down ladders, in and out of trucks trailers,on and off conveyors, and helping them load the 9600 boxes my side of the building is responsible for. There isn't a day of the week I don't have some sort of bruise or bump and I'll be damned if I'm going to wear my watch in there and NOT put some protection on it. It's sure as hell not built like my Breitling or my Chase Durer watches. It isn't designed to take the beatings they do.

I have Apple Care, but why should I pay 60-80 bucks for a replacement when 20 bucks in protection could have avoided it? THAT'S where I'd be stupid: not taking the extra step in the first place. I wouldn't take my 6+ or my iPad in the wild without a case. Why would my watch be any different?

I think it's amazingly egotistical of some posters to seagull a thread (swoop in, crap all over it and swoop back out again..) and think we need, want, or would get any sort of value from their thumbing their nose at it.

Don't like the post? Think the subject matter is "stupid"? Who cares what you think? Don't post and keep right on clicking to the next one and keep your .02 cents right in your pocket where it belongs.

---end rant---

Screen Protector

Hi Guys,

Checking in as a newbie member...like many I joined to keep up to date with the apple watch delivery fiasco.

Interesting read about screen protectors?

I'm still undecided!

Like someone else mentioned I have never put a screen protector on any watch I have owned whether it be a sapphire or synthetic crystal. Some of the synthetic/glass one have got badly scratched and some haven't!

Im about to pre order a Zagg as the armour shield not available in UK. But last time i had a ZAGG invisible shield for iPad around 5 years ago it was a horrible rubbery kind of feel to it. Can anyone who has the Zagg comment on the finish? Are they still using that rubbery feel finish?

I wouldn't judge too quickly. A lot of those reviews are dated before the watch was even released. How can they review a product without using it
yep, hence i used the term appears.

Any idea if any of the wet ones are available in the UK yet? I'm really struggling to find any.

If not, I guess I'll have to pay best buy's prices when I visit the USA next month, and hope there's no incidents until then!
