The muddled bumpy reflection of the light says it all.
Orange peel.

Yuck! Ruined the nice Apple watch.

Only if you get the glare just right which I was obviously going for. Doesn't mess with the clarity or feel of the screen really though. Feels fantastic in fact.

My experience

So I just put the Armorsuit on my wife 38mm and the Skinomi on my 42mm.

Take your time putting it on...but so far the Armorsuit looks better on the watch...the concern is the slight distortion I get. I will let them cure overnight and see in the morning.

While I want to protect it, if the clarity still has some distortion, I can't live with that. Personal choice of course...but lets see.

UPDATE:

After a day I can say the Armorsuit is much better than the Skinomi. Clearer and looks better. While there is a minimal clearity of the screen...It is way better then the other and worth the protection or annoyance if the screen got a scratch that would drive me crazy just because.

Screen Protectors

I have ordered IQShield Liquid Skin for my Apple Watch 42mm and so far it looks good. It does cover the whole screen. It's one of those wet install films.

How are screen protectors and the new force touch?

I'm getting the stainless steel watch but its still good to know for protectors.

I just tried to install the armorsuit screen protector on my 42mm...installs great on the flat part of the screen....not at ALL on the curved edges.

Any advice?

It does go onto the curved part really well, but you need to keep working it and give it some time to dry. When it's wet it doesn't stick. Took me 10-15 min of repeatedly rubbing and pressing to get them down, but then they finally stay down. It's a pain to keep it centered while you're doing it, but you can try to pin down both the top and bottom at the same time to keep it in place.

after you get the center squeegied and set.... then hold each individual corner in place for several seconds... and each edge.... i think i did the 4 edges then the corners.....

take your time!

PRESS and HOLD!

it's worth having the patience (something that's really hard for me!) to take your time and press

Glad I have my Armorsuit protector on...found a white scuff mark from a wall on the edge of the watch face, nicely protected by the skin, so I didn't freak out. Peace of mind for 1 buck, can't beat that.

Which did you get? I know matte helps reduce finger prints but I'm wondering if the glossy also reduces finger prints? The one thing I hate about the watch is smudges, esp since it's an "accessory" when off. Thanks in advanced.

There's nothing that's really going to reduce fingerprints more than the oleophobic coating already on the screen, but the screen protector will help to prevent scratches and other damage, so it's a tradeoff. No matter what, you're going to have to wipe it off to keep it clean, so you just need to decide which is more important to you.

I've had matte screen protectors before and they greatly reduce smudging to the point where I rarely have to wipe the screen.

I was wondering though, because the HD Clear version of the armorsuit protectors lists "reduces fingerprints" if it was as effective as the matte version.

The trade of with the matte version of a lot of screen protectors is while yes, smudges because less of a pain, the screen isn't as crystal clear.
