Ugh, that panel is horrible. The bottom and top looks much darker.

Try making a change, take advantage of the fact that you can still return it. It's one of the worst I've ever seen.

post yours, very interesting to see

Okay unboxed the blue 256GB 15 Pro Max and display was horrible.
GH display, I Think this is LG?
Unformity was perfect but the color shifting was horrible. If you tilt the device 2 degrees the top is blue and the bottom yellowish.
Directly sell this phone …

I’m sorry, anyway, the blue color is good but not so great as natural or black so not a big loss.

When you mention color shift, are you referring to a change in hue when tilting the phone slightly? Regular usage is typically front-facing, so why does the shift bother you?

The shift is so extreme if you tilt it minimal. With minimal I mean 1 degree and the shift is extreme.
With my G9P the shift is at 20-30 degree and not on 1 degree you know what I mean?
The uniformity was perfect but you can only see the perfect uniformity if you are 0,5m away from the the phone. If you are 30cm or 20cm away from the phone there is a color shift. I hope you know what I mean.

Yes, my friend, now I understand exactly what you mean.

A color shift with minimal tolerance is not acceptable; I completely agree.

After selling this model, what do you plan to do?

I will wait for the next phone for 800-900€ and test it again.
I will stay with my Black G9P.
Display is a good one and acceptable like yours but I know there will be a better one sometimes 😅

Buying used models is a good way to conduct an initial in-depth test and quickly assess the quality of the display. However, it comes with significant stress, and the risk of scams with iPhones is quite high, at least here in Italy.

Do you buy them from private sellers? If you plan to upgrade next year, it's not worth trying the panel lottery again. Trust me.

I don't remember the photos of your screen, but if it's acceptable, good, in regular use, consider it a keeper!

@sdante Today I was at a media store and tested some panels with TT and NS at 100%. I don't know how you manage to tell if they are good panels or not; with the maximum brightness of the phones and the store lighting, it was impossible for me to understand.

I know that's all a matter of the head 👀
Yes I upgrade every year and I pay only 100 euro for the upgrade 😂

guys, I make proper photos in darkness. 9GN 33 week, look how is the screen in diff conditions, close like 10-20cm or like 40-50cm
1st series on 100% tt,ns+, 2nd-10-15% tt,ns+, 3rd 100% tt,ns-
some discoloration on left bottom and up on 10-20cm but If you make a photo like on 40-50cm it seems like no discoloration, perfect .criticize me cause I have 37yo eyes with medium myopia

Finally got around to taking a photo of my G9P 15PM. About 15% brightness I'd guess, true tone off. Ignore the PWM waves. Likely as good a screen as I'll get for a 15PM, looks flawless to the naked eye in regular use.

The lower part is slightly darker

The second phone came from the cargo.
Screen serial no: g9p.

I'd say it's the best panel ever. The viewing angles are excellent. Quite white at a straight angle.
I returned the other phone.

I really scare to buy one more( new one or used) cause to proper inspect the screen you need time and where I live now its impossible to change in 14 days.
I want to try but can receive more problematic
so the main question is as always- to keep or to sell?

mine goes from Pegatron as I see the serial number. try to buy with higher number imei(later batch) and serial of Foxconn

Honestly you should keep yours, it looks great to me. There simply isn’t a perfect screen, the return / exchange loop is exhausting.

I don’t have facts / data about brightness. Compared side by side with the other two that I returned it’s the same. I would not make any conclusion that G9P is brighter than G9N or vice versa based on a few samples on this forum.

Mine looks like this but only with a proper angle and with a proper moderate light (with strong light in room it looks consistent in all angles) and only when screen is off. When screen is on for me looks fine both on white or dark pages, with high or low brightness. I wonder of it’s screen or screen protector. I have a double hardened protector so it can be a „ghost” (a flaw made during hardening). I do not want to remove it to check, it was put in kinda profesional conditions and it will be much job for me to get new one… IRL it looks a little bit more yellow than on photo

Hi everyone
I checked my iPhone 15 Pro, to be honest it's my fourth iPhone 15 Pro, where the first two were obscene, terrible display and heat emanating.
The third was excellent, a G9N, very saturated, with a hint of red on the top side, but very light, lastly the current one, fantastic natural titanium 256gb, the display is the most uniform I've had and the colors are much more natural, perfect, it's the best display I've had, it's an LG GVC product end of october, the only thing I can notice is shift a little compared to Samsung displays, but the white is so cold, bluish, ice
