Very happy for all of you. Mine is due today, got the texts. Apple was trying to stop the delivery, but looks like they were unsuccessful.
I have to decide whether to refuse delivery so it goes back to Apple or take it and return it myself unopened to Apple. I guess the latter is safer.
Btw, I love my Xs Max gold. Just had to play with the screen settings so the flicker doesn't bother me.

Welp, jokes on me. I did not know about the UPS policy on Apple products where they HAD to be signed for regardless of whether you request or not. I figured at the very least they would have left it at the front desk at my apartment complex and I could pick it up from them.
But nope, have to wait a day now. I can sign the back of the infonotice, but they still won't come till tomorrow. bummer

Looks like I'm getting mine today. Originally scheduled for Wednesday then pushed out to Friday, now getting it today (out for delivery)

They were able to stop my shipping. I did get all the messages that it was going to be delivered today however it was delivered to the apple depot so all is good.
So my story gets even more interesting. Mine made to Altamonte Springs, and was watching it thought UPS My Choice, and got the notification that it was delivered about 1:09. Went home to pick it up, and NO PACKAGE, checked with my leasing office NO PACKAGE. Called UPS who did a mini investigation, and low and behold it had been delivered to my local Apple Store. This has got to have been the strangest iPhone Launch event for me since my first iPhone the 3GS

I'm not so sure about having to be signed for delivery. UPS just left a package at my door without even ringing the bell. I did not get any new text alert but when I looked at the UPS tracking now, it shows as delivered. I'm not going to open it as it's going back to the Apple store since I bought mine already in store.

Just signed and got the package. My wife was nice enough not to open her phone that she got on Monday so we could open our phones together at home today after work. She waited for me so I'll wait till I get home (2+ hours from now). lol.
Was fun all, we hope to keep these phones for a few years so, have fun next year! I'm too old to pre-order anymore. lol.

Got my Phone! and it was defective... has a cellular issue and I have to send it back and wait for a replacement. expected delivery is October 9th through the 11th.. I wish I was kidding. looks like I get to experience the tracking nightmare all over again!

Ordered another iPhone X’s max 256gb gold for wife last night and it’s already shipped today to deliver before oct 5.
When I order it gave me oct 10-17 delivery but it’s improved so much now I’m thinking based on past 5 xs max they all have in few days after order. It should be here on Monday hopefully

What kind of cellular issues if you don’t mind my asking?
Unfortunately my closest Apple store is 5 hours away, I can't say I didn't consider it though.
Something to do with the SIM recognition, It kept flipping between SIM locked and SIM failed with multiple SIM cards including a brand new one from the Sprint store. Sprint couldn't figure out the problem and neither could Simply Mac (the only local apple authorized service provider) both suggested a return and exchange.

Update on my UPS issue. I was able to call and have them hold it at my local customer service center. The package was there within the next couple hours, walked in with no line around 2:30 PM, picked up the package and was good to go.
Had a lot of issues with the two-factor authentication. I had already deactivated my old phone, and my phone number was what I used to authenticate my account. But I found a good work around to that and was up and running eventually. Love the phone

I was told by UPS (and I actually remember this being a thing when I did some seasonal work as a UPS helper back in the college days) that they have a strict zero-tolerance signature policy with Apple products, as they get stolen often. It either must be signed for at the door, picked up and signed for at a UPS facility, or if they leave you an infonotice on the first day, you can sign the back of it and they will leave it for you upon the 2nd delivery attempt.
My confusion was that I figured that by living in an apartment complex or condo, they could just have the front desk sign for it, but I guess in my apartment UPS just delivers directly to the door? (kind of weird, but might be because I live on the first floor)

Absolutely loving the Xs Max. Reading on it is amazing. Face ID is a lot easier than I thought. Phone is heavier but the screen is amazing.
Had problems activating it on Verizon last night. Had to call in. But the rep was very helpful and in a few mins we were up and running.
Looking forward to a few years of usage. Both my wife’s phone and my phone battery are above design capacity by almost 200 mAh. Love it.
