Other September 21 Deliveries - Real-Time Flight Tracking

At the moment the flights do not correspond to this for an XS Max:

In Transit 17/09/2018 2:10 A.M. ZhengZhou, China Arrival Scan

16/09/2018 11:57 P.M. ZhengZhou, China Departure Scan

Past Event Shipped 16/09/2018 11:54 P.M. ZhengZhou, China Origin Scan

Past Event Label Created 17/09/2018 12:07 P.M. China Order Processed: Ready for UPS

Possible reason these times do not show up on the flight scan - Last year multiple departure scans as I recall, suggesting there were more than 1 facility in ZhengZhou where subsequent departure scans were applied.

By the way, Apple site still shows Preparing to Ship. Above info from UPS Track By Reference, using the Apple order number minus the last 2 digits.

Latest - just showed up on plane finder:
UPS173 / 5X173 from ZhengZhou to Korea - which is the path my phones took last year.

But as of now, flightaware still shows a flight date from October 2017 - suggesting updated time not yet populated that site, and the flight number is used for special flights - not regularly scheduled. Just guessing.

I guess anything is possible but that is not a UPS flight. UPS might have subcontracted but I don't recall them doing that before.

By reference # AW S4 gold SS departed Suzhou China 9/17 5:45 pm. !

By reference # iPXs not yet showing up 6:26 CDT USA 9/17.

This flight-pattern screenshot makes me never want to fly again.

I thought maybe they were subcontracting due to the storm not letting them depart from Shenzhen.
 
My phones are currently in Hong Kong:
Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong 09/17/2018 4:59 P.M. Arrival Scan.
I'm probably going to change the delivery to my local UPS Store. Last year they came much earlier than expected and I had to arrange to pick them up that night. Rather than waiting around for UPS I can just go and pick them up.
 
I feel like I’m doing something wrong when I try and track by reference! I’ve never been able to find these super early tracking statuses!

Try using as the reference the Apple order number - but omit the last 2 digits.

BTW - When you do this, the tracking number is shown which is much more convenient to use for subsequent tracking.

Also, if what happened last year repeats, they bounce around a bit in China including departure, then arrival to the same place, then a "real" departure scan corresponding to a flight.

Yeah that’s what I’m doing but it comes up with nothing! Am I supposed to include the “W” that’s apart of the order number? I’ve done it both ways though, with and without the W, every year with no luck!

Do you have a UPS account on their website? It will show any packages scheduled to arrive at your address, I was sent a text Sunday morning that I had a package scheduled to be delivered to my address

Try this:

Then click on Track by Reference Number

Leave Package selected

Put order in - include the W but omit last 2 digits

Leave date range as is

Put destination country and Postcode

Select Track

It’s my watch so not a huge disappointment if it’s late since my phone is in Memphis but I don’t have a “tentative” date, mine says one time for 9/21. I’f that’s the case my date will probably change today
 
Anyone else showing the delivery option to hold at their local CC center is grayed out? If I log in on mobile it does let me change but then shows estimated delivery as 9/24 (not 9/21 and it is not a UPS Store, it is the CC center)?
 
Tried checking UPS site and it actually worked, haha. My phone shipped out of Shenzhen on 9/17 and is in transit at Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong as of today. Shows delivery date of 9/21, so hopefully my phone won't be affected by the storm. Looks like the worst is over thankfully (aside from iPhone shipping) as of Sunday night, can't believe the phone actually shipped out of Shenzhen on 9/17 during the storm.

I wonder if it makes a difference too that I was on a computer this time, when normally im always on my phone trying to search by reference!

But besides being on a computer vs phone, and following that specific link you sent, I didn't do anything different than I have tried the last 3 years or so!
