If there were going to be any redesigns I'd hope for e-ink to be at least an option for the cheaper model. Lord knows a Pebble would go a week plus on a charge with that. Shame it never quite took off.

New features would be cool. I don’t get why so many say they would upgrade for native sleep tracking .....just get an app if you must track sleep!
For me it’s all about the health features now, if they can get stuff like glucose monitoring, blood pressure, oximetry etc then it’s propelling us into the future of health tracking about our person 24/7

Keep hoping. E-ink is extremely dated technology, and poses a lot of issues in terms of actually being able to have a good visual of the display due to the lighting conditions. Yes, E-ink is battery efficient, but that’s not to say that current Apple Watch is battery efficient either right at 18 hours, (which I can achieve well over the spec’ rating.)

Furthermore, with micro LED making its way here, there’s absolutely no place where E-ink would offer any direct advantages to the Watch. Plus, question (And strongly suspect) there’s probably no real available suppliers manufacturing E-ink displays anymore for smart watch displays. Pebble was really one of the only one for a display of that size, (aside from the Kindle).

Personally, I’d like to see the Watch widened across the x-axis, making for more screen real estate.

One of the Apple Watch's distinct benefits versus the competition is they *aren't* overly large. I'd rather they keep that aspect.

few years ago I said that I will stop using my ROLEX if Apple Watch can check my health so apple did last years I asked for O2 check it look like OS 14 or with it Apple will do, next I will ask for blood pressure capability maybe by reading the viscosity of the blood?

Yup. I think it’s interesting when others say that the Apple Watch is ‘too large’, and my rebottle has always been, take the Apple Watch and compare that to an android watch like the ‘Gear’ Samsung, or even a Garmin Fenix, Those watches are obtrusively large/heavy, the Apple Watch really is the perfect balance of not being too large, yet too small. Especially with the changes made to the overall chassis with the Series 4.

I assume the people complaining either a) really love giant chunky watches, or b) have thick wrists. As a person with a smaller frame, the 44mm already looks comically-sized on me, and the 40 is at the edge.

I think an important point is that almost nobody is able to spot a Samsung or any other smart watch from the distance, but almost everyone is able to spot an Apple Watch - The big redesign for S4 was very much still in line with the overall design language of the initial model - just a lot more polished and mature (IMO) - S6 might be more of the same - better tech, thinner maybe and better battery and maybe even smaller bezel?

thinner and less border

Thinner Isn’t happening for the Series 6. Apple actually increased the battery thickness with the Series 3/introduction of LTE [Plus the Taptic Engine would have to somehow minimize]. Not to mention, in order for it to be thinner, Apple would probably have to stop using OLED panels, and convert to micro-Led.

I’m definitely someone who’d like to see a thinner AW. A tad too bulky right now, especially when wearing anything with sleeves around the wrist.

Probably won’t be S6 timeframe but I suspect that’s a goal whenever the perf-power balance works out with improving batteries.

I don’t understand the want for blood pressure measurement on Apple Watch. Just bought one that's sold on any pharmacy store. You don’t need to measure your blood pressure hourly (even daily is excessive. I do it only twice a week).

I'd be upset if the bands aren't compatible when they do a re-design

The band port is a massive monopoly for Apple. Think about it, the Apple Watch is popular, but what makes the Apple Watch so popular? The band switching is executed perfectly. Now, I’m not saying Apple can’t change something, because they proven that many times with other products in the past. But they also realize they have executed the band port/customization perfect. And I don’t think it’s their intention to change anything with the band at this junction.

to be a bit more technical, in order for the band port to be changed/altered, the physical chassis of the Apple Watch would also have to change. So that would lead me to believe that Apple probably wouldn’t have a choice but to change the band port _if_ they alter the chassis where it would require it.

U r right you don't have to check any thing every hour but when u r out from your home and you have a problem the watch is with you always and I have that blood pressure tester at home and it so hurt to use it it almost break your arm during the test
