I read in the iPad forum that most Apple stores update their stock at 6am eastern. I’m thinking of trading in my MacBook for one of these if I manage to find one. Good luck!
I see your in the usa,well here in uk i kept checking during the night and i couldnt see any for pick up today but at 7 this morning theyseem to have basic stock in all the uk apple stores,having said that i think if you want more spec you cant pick up today,i may be wrong but i did try and spec one but couldnt see option for today. because you are a few hours behind i bet you will have them showing anytime soon. just realised your talking ipads lol ,sorry.
I just checked my local apple store online and the ipad is not available yet
Im just getting the blue base as that will be more than sufficient for my needs coming from 10 years on my 2011 imac.just basic use apple photos is my main use and internet and stuff like that, got it for £1124 with my daughters student days.
My friend bought the mac mini base and LG monitor and he absolutely loves it and he was using a 2011 imac as well

My wife managed to reserve a blue 16GB/1TB model for collection today. She was up at about 6 and just checked on the off-chance they'd have one. Looks like that's the chosen BTO spec for stores - they had silver & blue colours in those.
Yeah I’ve noticed that too. Was tempted to go for it but can’t justify spending £1884 on it. Just gonna stick to my 8gb 256 base model
in the early days of pre order i was also speccing a high machine but after a lot of consideration decided not to only because It would be wasted on my needs.

Her workflow usually has a couple of Windows VMs running alongside everything else she's doing which includes heavy-duty photography and that machine usually ends up as a bit of a home server and being used by everyone which is the only reason she could justify the upgrades.
True. Whereas me, I’m just getting to watch Netflix and do some other stuff on it.
I think it looks like a great, all purpose machine and the initial reviews have praised the quality of the screen which is a good sign too.
just the basic one,ive got a samsung t7 and sd card/usb3 adaptor thingy coming today so that will be all i need. Blue by the way.how about you? im getting some new machine heads for my gibbo Hummingbird fitted and setup so thats another expense

Trying to decide if I keep a tax free 8 GB/512 GB or drive two hours for a 16 GB/1 TB with city sales tax...
There's actually a lot of availability in MA right now for the base model spec in most colors. 16gb/1tb only in blue and silver, but easy to get if you want one of those.
Yeah, the blue in 16 doesn't seem to be a thing in my area for whatever reason. Availability for it starts over 100 miles away in NYC.
Im getting really confused! Ordered over the phone this morning as I saw my local store had the model of iMac i wanted in store. I got an email entitled "your check in window is...", so I went to the store at the time the email gave me and they are saying that it isn't there and I need to wait for a text or email - is this correct/normal?
The Blue 16 GB/1 TB is what I want, which would be great, but if you want a trackpad or extended keyboard, then it sounds like a no go for pickup. I'm guessing they may not keep around extra of those to swap out, but you may just have to go to the store and ask. Oh welll.
No fun colors available in store apparently. You can pick up the default colors (blue, green, pink, silver) but no yellow, orange, or purple.
