It's not that simple. Maybe he learned his lesson from being fired and would actually improve and build on iOS 7.

Only if he creates his own super-duper Mobile OS, IOS tanks, and Apple is in dire need of a new OS they cannot develop in-house. Call it Jobs 2.0.

What is Forestall doing these days anyways, playing golf?

no, but they should really hire some graphic designer for the next iOS.

glowy neon interface, blurry windows and icons designed by 5 year olds were not the answer to forstall's skeuomorphic felt and glossy interface.

jonathan ive might be very good designing and working with hardware but the strength of apple's hardware is that it is clean and elegant yet unassuming. the same can't be said about iOS7.

Jony Ive is not a software designer, Steve had two separate people for a reason.

apparently no one at apple HQ wanted a Jobs-wannabe pushing half baked betas out of the door, but I would love an underdog comeback as Mrbobb has mentioned.

No he shouldn't. iOS 7 is going in the right direction, it's not there yet. But much better than the previous versions.

Rumor has it Forstall was a total asshat. So no. He's gone and keep it that way. He never came off so smart that they can't find someone just as talented

You are a physician specializing in vestibular disorders? Please post your CV if that is the case.

No, I have a PHD in Common Sense.

setting Reduce Motion to ON in settings in iOS 7 stops the MOTION in iOS 7 that tries to simulate a 3D effect. No Motion, no motion sickness. This makes it identical to iOS 6.

When stuff hits the fan any manager not willing to be front and centre and wear the mess has no place in any company.

no,

that background is too white, I was expecting some kind of backdrop in his pic :p

Sorry, that's not a CV

The CEO of Apple apologized to its user base for the Apple Maps screw up and the man responsible for it was too proud to? Forstall needs to just enjoy his millions and retire.

If you get motion sickness from something that does not move I can't help you.
