I'm an Amazon prime member and on their website said we'll deliver tomorrow but on apple website delivery dates are 28 Jul - 4 Aug.

Has anyone bought iPad pro from Amazon? Do they arrive the next day?

Is buying from Amazon okay or you guys think I should go with Apple directly? Price for the iPad I'm looking to buy is the same on both websites.

For some reason Amazon was offering discounts on the M1 iPad Pro on Friday, which tempted me in for a purchase. I received a 13% discount from the Apple Price. Unfortunately this large discount was only available for a day, and has returned back to 3% discount.

Well, if it is the same item, and the same price, and brand new - BUT there is over a months difference in delivery time - then go with Amazon! There is no difference over 1st or 3rd party Sellers and your consumer rights should something go wrong. Not in the UK anyway. Apple dont offer extra perks from buying directly with them. It’s the same wherever you buy something.

I prefer to buy from Apple.com. Packaging on orders from apple.com is also better

If the price is the same, then surely the only thing you’re interested in is whether you can wait or not? If you can wait go with Apple, if you can’t wait to go with Amazon. Personally I’d have no hesitation in buying from Amazon regardless.

I’ve bought from both many times and I like that Amazon has a 30-day return policy vs Apple’s 14.

Unless that’s changed.

People keep going on about 3rd party resellers, but I’m assuming you’re buying from Amazon direct.

And what a really love is purchasing a device at the start of the Amazon Christmas season and then having until February to decide if I actually want or need it.

Here's why:

Good call, but this applies to Amazon too. And regarding the example in the video, he insinuated a small reseller - I’m fairly sure Amazon would oblige to consumer rights laws just as easily as Apple appear too.

I’d appreciate if you share a point in writing rather than have others watch some YouTube videos in search for your intentions.
It’s regarding statutory rights and consumer law. It’s not overly relevent to the conversation as all sellers must oblige.

Buy it from Apple.

Here's why:


Consumer rights apply not only to Apple.

There’s no added risk for op to buy iPad Pro from Amazon if some savings or easier delivery.
Obviously do check that seller is Amazon and not an unknown 3rd party, and that item is being sold as new.

You do with Apple UK too. I questioned this when my wife’s AWS2 went wrong and we took it into Apple. She bought it from JL specifically for the 2 year warranty and I explained this to Apple, to which they said ‘so do we’. Apple also replace beyond that whereas JL don’t. Her watch ended up in the bin and she had to buy a new one because JL said she could claim beyond the warranty but it would be a legal matter. Apple said they’d straight up replace it ‘if’ we’d bought it from them.

Worth noting as I now go to Apple whereas previously I would have gone to JL without question.

You’re not the only one that said that Apple offer two years warranty. But I’ve yet to find anywhere that they confirm this. Can you put me in the right direction please?

Go with Apple directly and get it personalized with engraving. It is free and you can’t get that through Amazon.

If you need it today/tomorrow and can't go to an Apple Store, I'd say Amazon is fine. But for all the other reasons mentioned here, Apple direct is always the safest bet.

What are all the other reasons mentioned? Much of what was pointed out had to do with buying from a 3rd party through Amazon, which is probably not the case. Amazon is just as safe as Apple. It’s not like they first open the box and play with it for a while, you get the device packed and shrink wrapped in the original Apple box.

Amazon's reliable. Warranty holds. You can get AppleCare+ if you want. There's absolutely zero downside to buying from amazon.

What two year warranty are you talking about from Apple? And what do you mean they "replace beyond that"? Genuinely asking. I bought AppleCare+ specifically for 2 year coverage. Should I not have bought it.
