Should I order a new Mac Book Pro this week?

I would wait until MacWorld. It's only just over a week away now because an update is long over due.

I was going to order a Macbook Pro around the same time the new iMac's were released but I've been determined to wait until they update them, so another week and a half isn't long to wait.

I do think their will be more than just a processor upgrade as processor upgrades are usually silent updates.

the way i see it, an upgrade is an upgrade no matter what. it is possible that you can get more for your money two weeks from now than what you can get this week. enless its urgent and you cannot wait at all by all means purchase a MBP. but 10 days isnt that long of a wait, its worth it to just see what happens at macworld.

I was planning of purchasing a mbp tomorrow from my nearest apple shop. After reading this i'm now stuck in the middle I'm not worried about processor upgrades however there was mention of a blu-ray drive. If thats the case well i'm just going to have to wait. I'm a college student studying graphic design will the upgrades really affect the resoultion or colour viewed ?

Even if you're not worried about upgrades, why buy one just 10 days before their announcement*?

*If indeed there is an update, which is highly probable.

My shuttle just blew up...

My shuttle just blew up on the third and I'm in the same boat. The only good news I have is I can do most of my web browsing and emails on the iPhone for a couple of weeks but come the 15th I'm not going to have alot of choice.

I hope for a MBP processor update anything on top of that is pure gravy. I just fear the Rumored Ultralight won't have enough power for my needs.
