Apple is in big trouble if Jobs did leave/resign/retire. THAT, right now, will be its downfall.

Obviously, most people dont care about it being on ATT; 40% of iphone users have switched services. I also dont see a dramatic difference in quality/service between Verizon, ATT, and T-Mobile. They all are crappy in their own way. Apple is fortunate ATT even went for it; providing service for visual voicemail, a cheaper dataplan than other smartphones, not locking music and other services to the wireless provider, etc.

Let's face the facts here folks.

The only fact here is that you have no facts! You're calling the iPhone a flop based on 30 hours worth of activation data from a company that admits there were activation delays. Even so, how is 1.35 iPhone activations per second a flop? Do you have evidence that suggests this activation rate is unusually low for a single make/model of phone on a single carrier?

As for Apple TV, I don't believe any sales data has been released yet, so how can you claim the product is a failure? It may not be a runaway hit, but that doesn't mean there's no long-term potential in the idea.

In any case, I like Steve Jobs right where he is. The stellar performance of AAPL more than justifies his position as CEO. And let's not forget Mac marketshare is on the rise as well. What more do you want?

This thread is based on an absurd premise. It's also getting a little heated in places... for that reason, I'm going to close it as it's going nowhere.

Anyone is welcome to PM me to ask me to reopen it. You better have a good reason, though. ;)
