Title of this thread should've been "Tried RAZR, Back to iOS" and created in the iPhone section of the forum, where validation and praise will be given.
Nope bc it’s about android and Google wallet vs Apple Pay and iOS.

Your egos will be okay lol.
I've been on Android for a week, and I can say with complete certainty that my wife has not friend-zoned me yet.

lol. Give it time. Jk

My boyfriend always got mad bc I always sort of overlooked his texts when he had android. It wasn’t intentional.

I just do so much with iMessage and I sort of overlooked any green msgs like I overlook WhatsApp or messenger messages until I feel like looking at them.

He switched to an iPhone and immediately started responding back instantly 😂😭

But he also did think me for “forcing” him to get an iPhone bc as a diehard nexus and pixel guy he finally saw what I meant by near perfect synergy and a stronger ecosystem.

before any sensitive ppl say I ignored him bc he was android. No.

He just didn’t have priority. Bc im not going to go out of my way to communicate with someone especially one person.

It’s like my friend who doesn’t have a car. I still love them. I adore them. But im not going to always be the one driving to see them.

We should all be friends

Please upvote this post so I can get more validation and praise
Im friends with sensible ppl lol.

LOL WTF

I tried Android once. Had it for nearly a year. I regretted every bit of it.
Im not going to say i regret using android.
I did use it for well over a decade.

The potential to be just as good as the apple ecosystem is there. It’s just that the individual products 1:1 google vs iOS are inferior or even if they are better,
When you connect then together within the ecosystem, it just feels terrible.

I’ll give an prime examples.

1. Rcs

Android fans will sing rcs praises and brag about it.

Rcs IS GOOD. RCS IS BETTER THAN SMS. but it’s not reliable.

A quick google search will show you just how many ppl complain about reliability.

Some blame the carriers. Some blame the concept of rcs itself.

iMessage rarely goes down/has issues and when it does we usually know why and apple handles it.

Never mind that iMessage is not reliant on carriers. iMessage is iMessage. There are still some carriers who don’t have access to use rcs.

Android is powerful and in many ways powerful than iOS but you have to work to get that power and even with power it has it feels weak.

Clunky. Crap is support. Terrible tech support.

Android is only good as the third party apps and the patience you give it.

Like right now I have about it 20 Snapchat notifications. I largely overlook them unless I’m in the app.

Same with google voice.

If I saw his message, I think my mind just treated it as an app that is kind of spammy lol.

I play a lot of iMessage games and stuff or we use the features. Since I couldn’t use them with him, I sort of overlooked his messages lol.

Now we don’t have that issue lol

I dont use Apple pay, firstly I don’t like getting my phone out when im juggling shopping conversations and and my wheelchair. Also what's wrong with tapping a RFID bank card. If I drop that I pick it up, my phone however may break If I drop it, if someone steals my card I can reach into my pocket freeze that card on my banking app, and all is good, if they steal my phone I've lost everything until I get a new one. This is just my preference of course but I do find people using their phones in shops to look like 'hey I have a smartphone', and tbh who cares. I don’t want my phone to be the epicentre of my world because they go wrong break or can be stolen, a card well hidden in a RFID wallet is fine for my needs. As to not being able to pay your friend being on Apple Pay, can just send money to thier card from a banking app and that would have sorted the issue.

Yeah. Google sucks, their OS sucks, even their AI sucks. I have tried 3 Android phones. Waste of time, money and my nerves while getting used to all of this mess. Apps often work poorly across devices. Maybe I didn’t try Pixel, but honestly if their OS doesn’t work good on other devices why should it work good on theirs?

There are thousands of flaws in iOS, but I would still prefer an iPhone any day. It just works, and works good. I have pristine camera quality so I can forget about large cameras and other devices, the apps are always polished, as well as feature set can upgrade over the years thanks to guaranteed updates

If I had to be forced to use android but had a choice, it would probably be a Samsung galaxy s device.

They have excellent cameras and screens and the OS still sucks but the user experience is usually better. Stock android is ugly and pixels cameras are mid to me
