Mine was changed after updating to 5.1.1 as well, however I'm using a Siri Proxy. I can confirm that with my proxy, it still works correctly on devices running 5.0.1. Anyone have any idea how to get the normal voice back? I tried shutting Siri off for 4 hours, like above, I tried changing the voice to other voices and changing it back. I also tried doing an iCloud backup, a few people on the Apple forums said that worked. I liked the normal voice much much better than the robotic sounding voice I have now. Any idea on how to get it back?

She still cant say my daughters name though lol

She couldn't say or recognize either of my daughter's names, but she's got them now. Add your daughter as a contact, name spelled correctly in the name field. Then scroll down and tap "add field" and put in a phonetic name, spelled however it is that Siri usually spells you daughter's name when she misunderstands it. Of course, you will never see this because your post was from months ago, but maybe this will help someone else :p

I saw it lol. I have put in a phonetic name, but that ended up causing issues on the iPhone 4 (Not the 4S's of my wife and I), so I did not bother. Also put the name in the wrong order, but I could deal with that, but my wife could not

My Siri's voice changed today. Has anyone else experienced this. I have no clue why this happened.
YES.
This new intonation is brusque, cold, short, uncongenial.
If you normally hear or speak like that you may not notice it. But the intonation has most definitely been re-programmed. It's like an 'attitude' adjustment has been made and it's somewhat apathetic.
