Looks like leather but guessing not?

I wonder if it could leave something behind or be harder to get off after more time goes by though.During installation of the Sopiguard skin, I had to pull it up a few times to get rid of air bubbles, and it did not leave anything behind. Just apply a steady pulling pressure, and don't try to do too much at once, and it should come up without any issues. The adhesive is not like a normal sticker.
I can tell you that I removed the back skin on my MK which was from slickwrap. And it left so Much residue behind. I spent an hour removing the residue. The Sophiguard is also 3M. I expect the same results if I need to remove It.To those who got Sopiguard, does the sticker too sticky? I’m still on the fence between Sopiguard or waiting for Decalgirls.
I don’t want the stickers to left too much residue after removing
Do you have problem like bubbling the layer of the keyboard?I can tell you that I removed the back skin on my MK which was from slickwrap. And it left so Much residue behind. I spent an hour removing the residue. The Sophiguard is also 3M. I expect the same results if I need to remove It.
I have yet to install the rest of the Sopiguard skin due to knowing what I face with the slickwrap removal.
Will those stuffs destroy the material of the keyboard?hmmm, well I haven't tried taking it completely off after being attached for some time, which may make a difference. I can only attest to short term application.
There may be chemical solutions to residue, such as good strong Isopropyl alcohol, or Goo Be Gone (love that stuff, really useful for removing tape residue that is a hundred years old and super sticky and gross).
Compare to any previous stickers/decals that u used before, does Sopiguard feel too sticky? like its edhesive itself to the material?I have not tested Goo Be Gone because I don’t have any at the moment, but my experience in cleaning tape residue off of vinyl pads (college students being dirty little savages in the open computer labs) would suggest it would be okay. However, I did clean my keyboard with isopropyl alcohol in preparation of application of the Sopiguard skin (obviously i didn’t soak it, but just moistened a clean microfiber cloth and cleaned with it). The skin even comes with two little alcohol wipes as part of the installation kit. No problems.
From decal girl—I’m happy with it!
Is that the Magic Keyboard or the Smart Keyboard folio?
I finally received my metallic black. I was also considering the matte black another user posted. I opted not to install the inside portion as it would have looked tacky in my opinion. The only reason I wanted this product was to hide smudges that are inevitable with the material of Apple iPad keyboards.
Install was easy. I had to lift it up a few times to align it just right. Do not worry about the bubbles they come out quite easily with pressure (unlike glass screen protectors). In order to get the Apple Logo to show, you have to gently indent on the logo while installing it.
As previous posters said, it is on the thin side. I have no idea how it will hold up over time. Also, it does make the iPad slicker so you have to bear that in mind before ordering.
I will do an update post sometime in the future as I get more use of it. Although, I usually take good care of my tech, not sure if I would be the best person to really test the limits of this cover.
Is this the 3M Brushed Black that is listed on their site?
No, the MK was not damaged in any way.Do you have problem like bubbling the layer of the keyboard?
Wow looks great. I think I ordered the same exact one. Thanks for letting us know if your install process!I finally received my brushed black. I had the toast wood cover for my SKF and that left a lot of glue but it came straight off with Isopropyl alcohol and left the keyboard looking like new so have no concerns about the sopiguard skin,
I’ve just ordered the 3m brushed gunmetal gray but don’t expect it for at least a month as I’m in uk
It's the magic keyboard, but it's the decals for Smart Keyboard folio. It fits almost perfectly.
