My iPad Pros Smart Keyboard is not working again. The iPad will not recognize the keyboard and the keyboard was out of warranty according to the apple rep in the store but they went ahead and replaced it with a new one off the shelf. This is my 3rd keyboard I have gotten due to defects. Is it it better to sell it off and get the Logitech one with the smart connector.

Yup, mine is acting up as well on the iPad Pro 10.5. It was fine until the most recent software update, so I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or not. I am going to the Apple Store tomorrow to see if they'll replace it even though it's out of warranty. Hoping for a miracle.

Thanks to MacRumors for this thread.

I have the iPad Pro 9.7 and the keyboard had been a little quirky from the start with the “h” not always working (I thought it was me not hitting the key hard enough). Then the last few months I would get the Not supported message intermittently. Sometimes I would just reconnect and it was fine. Other times I’d have to reboot the iPad. The last two weeks it’s been working fine. Also the sides of the keyboard came apart which was just yucky.

Because of this thread, I went to Apple today and received a new replacement keyboard. Easy, peasy - didn’t even have to get tough or plead my case. They took the serial number of the old keyboard and gave me a new one. So far working good.

Thanks again, MacRumors!

Having an issue with ASK gen 2 where the spacebar inserts two spaces instead of one when pressed once. It only happens though intermittently and in a verity of apps. Is weird and slightly annoying.
