Ok Guys,
Though this might sound silly and very rare, but it is a thought in my mind so I though let me ask you guys on what do you think about this. I plan to buy the 10.5” iPad Pro but frankly speaking after reading all the feedback of people here and checking it out myself. This iPad Pro is a finger print magnet, it just gets finger prints on it on a mere touch to hold it. This is kind of bugging me. And I strongly feel and believe the kind of experience you get using the iPad without putting any screen protector on it you don’t get it if you put one on it. So I am not willing to put any screen protector or tempered glass on it. Do you guys think any sane person on this earth would skip this year’s iPad Pro for sheer this reason, thinking that Apple might address this issue in the next year’s model. I have an iPad Air. so I am not as if that I have no iPad at all. I know it may sound silly but still is a fact.
Can you please advise people.
Thanks.
The color won't matter because the smudges we are complaining are everywhere. And that won't be good if you are planning to watch videos. Space Gray is the best option in my opinion. And washing your hands before handling the iPAD isn't going to change anything, I always have mine clean and still have to care about these smudges often. Just don't apply the cloths all the time to prevent the screen from feeling and looking more worn out than it should after a year or two.1. Get the white iPad since the edges where you hold won't show smudges.
2. Wash your hands before using your iPad. If I'm in a hurry, I rub my fingertips on my pants leg.
But I have a bigger question !! Why is Apple's Finger Print Resistant Coating on the iPad Pro turning ineffective ?? It is bloody not just effective !!
I would say that's completely dependent on the individual using the iPad. There is no real accurate measurement for this.
Can't believe I actually not only tapped on it but read through the whole thread. #facepalm
And by tapping on it, you left fingerprints. That's just being insensitive.
OP, I don't know a single glass surface on the planet that doesn't show fingerprints of some kind under certain conditions. Even textured glass. I suggest that if this is a serious post and you are really concerned about fingerprints showing you should avoid any tablet devices for the foreseeable future.
I have used zagg glass+ screen protectors and they are wonderful for your fingers/touch/experience. Nice rounded corners, nice smooth anti-fingerprint surface. Perfection!!!But I have a bigger question !! Why is Apple's Finger Print Resistant Coating on the iPad Pro turning ineffective ?? It is bloody not just effective !!
All the iPads before the iPad Pro 9.7" never had this problem so we are talking about a problem arising only after 2016.
I thought I had bad ocd, when I was a kid, I hated getting new sneakers dirty, even a smudge would mess with my head. These smudges , however, wipe right off an iPad.

Disagree. I've owned every iPad model since the original and all have demonstrated ability to show fingerprints and smudges of some kind. It depends more on your own unique body chemistry, working environment, air quality (I work construction sites often), etc. I can agree since they removed the coating(s) it shows them more than it once did...but only when not in use (thus not an issue for ME, may be for YOU) or when used with a very dark screen/app/background.
