I doubt they'll implement a regular hard-drive style access utility to the iPad. It's there where they also try to treat it like the iPod touch. The main thing resembling HD access is if you use the mobile me account drive. However, that wouldn't be a bad idea if they expanded the iDisk aspect thing to allow you to upload and download files to a website straight from your mobile me drives using the iPad or iPhone/Touch. That would actually expand the functionality by a nice margin, IMO.

It's checker boarding but not much and it goes away in less than a second.
But it seems to only have 256MB RAM so pages with lots of images will not fully load. For example out of 200 medium sized images only about 120-150 load
Wifi can also be shoddy. Sitting about 15ft from my airport express and it for some reason occasionally drops to 1 bar
