It is obvious people love big phones. I don't but obviously I am a minority. If I can't easily put the phone in my front pocket I am not interested. I understand if the phone is the only device one has that it has to serve as a movie screen, laptop, desk top and phone. This is often the case in the second and third world countries but I think it is perhaps the case in North America and Europe and parts of Asia with younger users. I could be wrong. Comments would be welcome.
I’ve been doing the big size since the 7+ and haven’t had any issues fitting the bigger phones into my front pocket, then again I don’t wear skin tight skinny jeans either
I did order the smaller size pro this time to try out to see if I get less thumb fatigue moving around the screen, since they upped the screen size from 5.8 to 6.1 on the 12/13 it seemed less tiny to me when playing around with it at the store than my wife’s 11 pro so it’s worth the 14 day test drive for me to see if not having the bigger model works for me.
Another dumb 1st world problem that persuaded me was that more cars are adding wireless charging and the bigger phones don’t seem to fit. I rent a lot for work and this a feature I like to use with wireless CarPlay. I might also want my next car to have wireless charging.
It would be awesome if they made a pro model with a 6.3 screen, I think that would be a great sweet spot to get the best of both worlds and with going essentially edge to edge screens, the footprint of the phone wouldn’t be much larger than the current non-max size.
