I love it. I don't see how anyone could complain about it. The process of texting is EXACTLY the same, only now if it recognizes another iOS device, it sends an iMessage. Which I've found to be, more informative, faster, and nicer looking. I like how it sends quick, you can see when its been delivered and who's typing, and how its in blue.

I probably already posted in here but I still like it. Free messages, it doesn't need yet another app or phone number, works seamlessly.

I love it. Realized how much faster I get replies and I love how so many people have iPhone with iOS5 and the bubbles turn BLUE!

BUT... the sender needs to send you an iMessage to your Apple/iCloud ID to receive it on both your iPhone and your iPad. If he sends it to your phone number it'll still only show up on your phone - regardless of whether or not it was sent via iMessage on his end.

At least it's that way in my brief experience.

This is incorrect.
*YOU* determine where your iMessages are sent to through the "Receive At" entry on your iPhone. If you have RECEIVE AT /phone number then you will ONLY receive the imessage on your phone. If you have RECEIVE AT - AppleID then you will receive at both. You just have to make sure the sender has your AppleId in their contacts for you!
