So who else is taking off Friday

Well I don't know about you guys, but I personally will be taking a sick day to make sure that I am home when the Fedex guy delivers my 3g ipad. I don't think I could make it through the weekend knowing that I missed the Friday delivery, the fedex guy leaving a delivery notice at my door, and then having to wait until Monday to pick up the package at the fedex distribution center because they are closed over the weekend.
 
1. Take a day off of work to relax and focus on things you rarely get a chance to do.

2. Do what I did and have your iPad delivered to your place of work durrrh :p
 
Me too...but will take Thursday - Monday off...once FedEx attempts to deliver, I will call them to hold at the hub. Then I will pick it up Monday.

So what...you can stare at the box. My employer expects me to work at work.

I took a vacation day. Plan on getting honey-do stuff done around the house before it arrives.

Everyones work circumstances differ. ;) hence my user name on these boards
 
I am doing some census work for a couple weeks so I make my own hours. Most of Friday is blocked off for iPad. :cool:
 
I'm working enough hours throughout the week to take most of the day off Friday. Have a meeting in the morning, but then off the rest of the day :)
 
I'm stuck at work on Friday, so I changed the shipping location to my office. All my iPad accessories are there, too, waiting for its arrival.

This is going to be fun!
 
Yes, I will be taking off work on Friday.

Figured I'll spend the day in line in front of the Apple Store. :cool:

Not that I give a rat's azz what you do, but taking 2 entire days off work to get an iPad? Unless you work for like $1 an hour, that makes for a pretty expensive iPad.
 
Plan:

Wake up at 9am

10-12pm (Mess around and eat)

1pm (Procrastinate)

2pm (Go to Apple Store)

2:20pm-4:50pm (Facebook, Twitter in line to my friends that i'm in line!)

5pm (Hyperventilate)

5:30pm (Sync iPad)

6pm-12am (Go help my old High School Teacher for his AP Gov't Review Session and show off my new gadget to the kids!):D

Sick days mean you still get paid, unless you have a really crappy job.
 
Of course each place will be different, but when do you think the first few people will be showing up? I'm the kind who if I am gonna bother waiting in line I want to be first or darn close. I waited outside in the cold for 3 hours to be the first of around 200 to get Modern Warfare 2 at my local Gamestop last November. :p

I want to be there early, but I don't want to be there so early I'm just sitting there alone for a long time.
 
I will go at 10am because that's when the Mall opens. I will either wander around until around noon or just chill out at 10.
 
Thinking about taking a vacation day myself, in order to receive my iPad at home. Have yet to see it being shipped or charged for yet.

Any idea yet who is going to be the shipper, FedEx or UPS?
