Ah, I haven't given my impression yet of my Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact I got for Christmas.
Short answer, I love it!
It's so damn thin... and nice and light. The back is nice and grippy and I like the notification light it has.
It's fast too and the 3GB RAM certainly allows tons of multitasking. The screen is also gorgeous, I have played my PS4 using the awesome remote play and to my eye's the tablets screen looked better then my TV! Their is a little lag when playing COD but it works fine and looks gorgeous playing FarCry 4. It is a bit annoying though that due to the way the Dual Shock 4 controller is designed that when it's paired to the tablet, you have to repair it to the PS4 after but that is easy enough.
The screen can loose colours and goes white at extreme angles though but on the whole it's great.
It's a fast device too and very smooth, Sony's skin has some very nice little touches, but it seems you cannot uninstall any of the apps they include without rooting the device, however as usual you can stop their services from running.
The speakers are pretty good, nice and loud enough considering they are waterproof, the sound fine, on some loude videos they can vibrate the device a bit though.
But the tablet feels nice and solid, the front glass could be better fitting on one edge of the bezel but it's totally sealed as I have used it under running water fine! Battery life seems pretty good, obviously depends on what you do with it but overall it can easily last a day and nearly two.
I am very happy with the tablet, it is better built than my 2012 Nexus 7 was and performs smoother.
I have the black 32GB WiFi model with a nice fast 32GB SD Card, just need my Noreve case I ordered for it and Sony's Lollipop update now
I also got the charging dock which works great, it clicks onto the tablet positively and it means you don't have to fiddle with the access doors on the tablet all the time.
Is it worth the high price tag? That's up to your opinions I guess, but in the UK we got £30 cashback that Sony are offering plus we got it though a high street store discount scheme through my work so saved £26 from that too, so in the end I got the tablet for £324. Not bad IMO and it makes it comparable with the competition, and they have now reduced the cost of the tablet whilst still offering the £30 cashback.
