I played with the G3 again today.
It took only 5 minutes for the overheating message to appear and the brightness went down to 90%.
All I did was open the web browser and navigate through one single webpage.
I've owned a G3 for a few weeks and that has yet to happen.
Do you have the brightness set to 100% always?
Maybe you have it at 50%-70%, and that's why don't notice it.
I've seen this same behavior three times on the G3, so it's there. Put your screen brightness at 100% and surf the web or watch some videos and play games and then you'll see the message pop.
Yep I ran my car at 10,000 RPM and the engine blew, piece of junk. Thats how I think every time someone says I set the brightness at 100% and it got hot. I had the G3 and never had an issue with over heating.
Yeah, but the problem is the brightness on the G3 is lower than other comparable phones, so having it at 100% is mandatory for some people (like me).
I had my G2 and Nexus 5 set at 70% and they were perfect, but it's not the same on every phone. On AMOLED phones I tend to need to have the brightness at 100% because colors are very saturated and darker.

Check this out guys:

The G3 camera shuts down in 22 and 44 seconds of 4K video recording. On the Z2 is similar I think, but the SGS5 can last longer.
Is this kind of problems that prevents me from buying these new flagships.
