Got this splash screen on both my iPhone and iPad this morning. Did update to the latest beta yesterday. Of course there is no iOS 12 GM update and iOS 12 is still in beta.

Same on my iOS 12 beta iPad and iOS 11 beta iPhone, each notifying there is an update for iOS 12 beta and iOS 11 beta respectively.

... to kick the tires from as many angels in the remaining weeks.

On beta program, so assume you’d want iOS 12 beta path.

I assume we’d need to remove the old beta profile just to upgrade to 12. That it might block it from installing.

There are no forthcoming 11 updates and at some point close iOS 11 from support.

If we are running iOS 12 we are already on iOS 12 and will get the GM first before it gets released to everybody later on. If we keep the beta profiles installed, we’ll just carry on beta-testing forthcoming iOS 12 variants, so getting betas for 12.1, etc. If we decide to remove the beta profile at any point once iOS 12 is released, we will just be getting updates to the latest stable version, like everyone else.

I got it on my iPad Pro running the latest public beta, also got a badge on my settings icon which I cannot get rid of.

Theory... iOS 12 just went gold - they’ve got the build they’re happy to slap on the new iPhones. But it’s not being released just yet. Only someone got excited and pressed a button too soon.

I agree this is the likely scenario. With only 3 weeks to go, the phones being made in Zhengzhou need a GM firmware now.

I started getting this just before the last beta came out. On the iPhone X and the 2018 iPad. It was a day or two before I could download the update.

Got the same message on both devices an hour or 2 ago today too.

I believe will coming out couple more beta releases. Damn, last version 12 beta 11 is terrible. All keys left on. Like stuck pressed. Look screenshot.
