The worst thing about this bug is that you keep checking the update splash to see if it is the update to fix the update splash.
WOW it seems to be on overdrive pop-up now for me. Just about every time I unlock my iPhone or iPad it appears.

Yeah see the macrumors article with the tweet. Some faulty date logic every time you dismiss the cover sheet. Not even just unlocking- pull down and up does it too!

Manually change date before 31.8 and popup will disapear. I changed to 25.8 and now is ok. temp solution

Yeah popup notification is annoying. It is just date issue with expire I think. We have to wait next release.

Yea, I'm not going to change the date since that would corrupt all my Fitness/Health data (plus other problems). Will just suffer through until Apple fixes the problem. It has to be VERY well known by now. Maybe/HOPE they will rush a patch/update out today.

WOW, less than 2 hours after I posted. Good job Apple. Or is it BAD job on releasing it wrong to begin with? Of course this is the nature of betas.

Just downloaded the new (actual) update and it has apparently fixed the problem.

Editing this to update. Day after update and it’s I’ve not had a single occurrence of the “splash screen update notice.” Nice that Apple fixed it so quickly.

I'm on the public beta program and I get this stupid pop up every single time I unlock my phone no matter how long it's been locked. It's really starting to get anoying real fast.

Is anyone else not finding their public beta updated to iOS12 beta 12? It's been three days since it came out, and it downloaded to my iPad but not my iPhone. My settings screen keeps saying I have the latest version available.

Check your current iOS 12 build number in the Settings - About. If it is 16A5366a, this is as good as it gets. If not, try removing and reinstalling your beta profile, this should fix it.

I’ve been getting this for about the past two or three days, so I updated to the latest public beta that was available on my update screen and it continued. every single time that I would pull down the notification menu or move from one page to another or close an app or open an app or pull up the control panel or switch to my lock screen or unlock or lock and it was happening so often that it was so frustrating. I just did the delete the beta profile and reinstall and it hasn’t happened yet again since I did that knock on wood
