Lots of great feedback here... thanks everyone for taking the time.

Funny you bring this up. We had a big debate over this in the office and decided to go with sending two alerts, simply because we want to deliver the information to you as fast as possible. Waiting to see the outcome of the extra point (or 2-point conversion) can take over a minute and we thought people would rather know the team scored right away. Thoughts?

i am only one person but i think just having the one works fine. If i am not actually watching the game i will not notice the 2 minutes between the touchdown and the extra point.

I think that it is fine the way it is, that way you know right away when they score a touchdown.

I kind of wish that there was a push notification for lead changes for NBA games, instead of having to wait until the end of the period to see what the score is.

I actually like ESPN better before this last update. I really like the alerts. Especially since I can't be watching them all the time. This by far puts it a step ahead above the others.

Love the notifications, but for baseball, PLEASE stop sending both an End of 9th and Final score update if a user has the final and every three innings selected. It's annoying to get two updates at the end of a regulation game.

This is probably te best app on my iPhone :)

I bought the pro version and could not be happier. Well, I could: Premier League alerts would be wonderful!

One thing I would say is don't fall into the 'let's make it pretty' trap. An attraction for Sportacular is that its simple and uncluttered. Absolutely it could look way better than it does now and you should put an effort in towards that, but don't make it look good at the expense of usability. I want the information first, presentation is second.

This is exactly where ESPN Scorecenter fails and Sportacular succeeds.

ESPN is graphically enjoyable, but complicated and frustrating to use. Sportacular keeps it simple and useful.

I choose a useful app over a "pretty" app every time.

I'd love a sports ticker app that would let me follow my local Triple-A team, the Toledo Mud Hens... So far, I haven't found one that offers minor league baseball scores and stats..

I love Sportacular. I went with ESPN for a while thinking that "the worldwide leaders" would certainly have the best sports app around. Not so much. It's very nice but way too shiny.

First off, Sportacular has push! That's so cool. Not only do I get updates, but I'm notified when a game is starting. Previously, I'd have to set up an event in iCal!

I would however like to see some more sports added. The one thing I do like about ESPN is they offer soccer. I like to follow the World Cup qualifiers and the US team.

Keep up the great work guys!

Premier League alerts are included in the pending update... should be any day now.

It's an awesome app. Keep up the great work. I've tried all the top sports apps out there, and Sportacular is the best. I only put the best apps on my iPhone.

Agreed, I have all of the sports apps, and I don't even look at them. Sportacular with Push is all I need and I'm all set. The only thing I'd like to see, is stats added to college football games the way they have them for the NFL. Otherwise, one of my most checked apps, I use it all the time, and I love the push updates on all my favorite teams.

The pending update will give you the college football information you need with player stats and better play-by-play information. Here's a sneak peek, let me know what you think...

It's a great app. Nice work.

My only "complaint" is with the interface. It's just doesn't have the appeal that one would expect from an iPhone app. But this is a pretty minor quibble with an app that focuses on functionality.

More detail on push notifications would be nice. I haven't had any issues with push notifications and am very pleased with how fast they come out.

I've emailed using the Contact button in the app twice now. Once the first week, & then this past Sunday. I have only one Pro Football team set up for notifications & the notifications were horrible last week, better this week but still were slow. And the game scores in the app were way behind. Are the scores NOT supposed to be real time in the app?

Sorry you've been having issues... Yes, the data should be as close to real time as possible, which should be under a minute behind. We had some issues with our data provider and we're still working out the kinks, but everything should be much faster now. Which team did you subscribe to?

Great app!!
Any chance we'll see Supercross or Motocross added in the future?
I would pay $50 for it then!!!!
:)

When I set the push notifications to alerts it works.
When I set it to badges it doesn't.

Might add some advice soon but for now all i have to say is that this is my favorite app hands down. I use it more then once a day everyday.. keep it up.. I dont even have the espn one because i feel this suites my needs perfectly.

This is probably one of the most used apps on my iPhone. I've been using it through the MLB season and now loving it for the NFL season. So far everything has been working great and notifications are received within about 30 seconds of the actual score and within a minute or 2 of the game starting/ending. As of right now, my only suggestion is that I would love to have this played as the beginning game notification sound for NFL games to alert me when my Ravens are about to serve a beat down if I happen to be busy at the moment :D. That is of course if you don't run into any copyright problems.

Brian

I would like to see a setting for push notifications to limit the times of day to send them. My wife complains about the phone alerts when late games have updates.

If Citizen Sports does update the UI on Sportacular, I hope they spend some time on the Scores page. Apps like MLB.tv do such a good job of displaying the scores. I find Sportacular scores much harder to read with the layout they choose (not sure is up with the green bars on each side, btw). And simple things like the right arrow on the scores like MLB.tv make big differences in terms of usability. Sportacular also wastes a lot of space on things that could be in the settings (like pre-game odds toggle and the "scores auto-update every x seconds"). I hate to harp on these little things but at this point Sportacular kills any sports scores app out there. But you have to figure ESPN is working pretty hard on their app and while their first attempt sucked, the new ESPN Radio app shows they have learned how to create a great UI.

The Saints. I'll post next week if I still have an issue this weekend.

Version 1.6 was finally approved over the weekend, with better college football info, fantasy football alerts and tracking, EPL alerts plus a bunch of bug fixes.

Please let me know what you think or if you find any bugs!
