Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents :)

- I have purchased and played through the first 2 levels and ...

I LOVE IT!!!!

The gesture based fighting does get intense and a perfect way to do it on the iPhone - I was skeptical at first but using it really it is so much fun and I can't wait to finish some more levels when I have more time :)

Anyways great game, great graphics, it also will follow you landscape or verticle :) - great addition to the games available to the iPhone! :)

I watched a video of game play on youtube and it looked very repetitive! But the graphics looks good from what I can see.

So do you have to use a certain pre-determined move to have to kill somebody each time?

Or can you just kill kill kill with your favorite moves? ;)

Talk to us guys. The original video was repetitive and boring. Tell us something about the game play, not just the graphics. What is the premiss? Does it have more than two moves? Does it take any amount of skill? How long will an average person take to complete the task? How many games/tasks are there? How does it compare to other games on and off the i-format?

I just completed level 1. Basically 2 to 3 moves. That's it. graphics are OK at best. It moves for you, all you do is swipe your finger, and make swirly shapes... I think $9.99 might be a bit much for this. It's a $4.99 game at best. That's my initial reaction. We'll see how more levels go.

[edit] Another level, more of the same, with a couple new gestures.

I'm playing it right now. It seems alright. Probably nothing compared to the full game. Can't wait to play that tomorrow. :)

You begin with a single attack and some defenses - so far every level you will be given a new attack - you can change which attack you want to with different gestures - so you are not forced to do any certain action wherever you are -

The gameplay is MUCH better than the video shows - the video does look boring but actually playing it for me is very entertaining and worth the 10 dollars.

Too short!!!

I have just played through the entire story mode on normal. It's about 5-6 levels long. It took me about 1.5 hours. It gets fun as more gestures are added allowing you to lay waste to baddies any way you wish. But just when you're getting used to your power the game ends.

Note: some enemies only responds to a specific force power though.

Not worth $9.99 in my opinion. Too short. I wanted so much more, oh well

it is fun to me but I cant get past level 2 (stuck at a section with 4 guys having to block laser blasts)

I do agree though...probably not REALLY worth the $9.99

Here's me nitpicking, but they didn't shorten the title so the name on the home screen is Star...eashed. Booooo.

Whilst I applaud the technical achievement, the game is boring as Hoth.
Repetitive, gesture based, on the rails.
Let's hope the real version on the consoles are a lot better.

I don't think I would like a game purely based on gestures, a demo would be really helpful for this game.

My take on it: http://toucharcade.com/2008/09/15/first-look-video-of-star-wars-the-force-unleashed/

The entire Story can be played in one sitting of about 2+ hours. There are 6 Chapters total in the story intertwined with a lengthy plot line. If not for the plot line dialog and transitions, the game could be completed in an even shorter time period.

The actual game play is quite enjoyable and tie-ins to the Star Wars franchise certainly help. Who hasn’t wanted to fling storm troopers into a wall with the flick of a finger? But the actual “puzzles” presented are incredibly simple, making the game just a paint-by-numbers sort of experience.

After you complete the 6 levels, it’s difficult to imagine that you’ll want to play the game again (especially with the un-skippable cut scenes). As a result, I think this game may only be reserved for the most die-hard Star Wars fan, and even then with the understanding that your $9.99 will not get you long term replayability.
