iPod Starbucks Song Code Swap (FREE, not for RESALE)

That's not a bad thought at all... just start a new thread where we each post once, and keep our lists updated... 1 page v. 5. Mixes both of the ideas. You could start a new one, Dr. Q, and then anyone who is still involved could come on over.

Agreed. I would say allow people to at least bump this thread by posting an updated link to their list like this...

I have to agree, I think the posting of a link back to the original post is the appropriate way to go. I prefer to keep the single message current, but for those of us that posted early on we get buried in the mix, especially since some people assume old messages are irrelevant. Now my only question is, how do I link to a specific message? :) I know how to link to a page, but not a message.

Easy. Click your name to the left of your post and select "Find more posts by "yourname" the find your list post, click it and copy that url. Paste it in your new post as I did. I've bookmarked mine actually, quicker to edit! :)

The second thread is fine. If you post there, please edit your post(s) in this thread to say your list is in the other thread. If you want, you can include a link to your post there.

I've linked to that thread from the second post of this thread, and both threads will be "sticky" in the forum for the next couple of weeks.
 
Is anyone else being overrun by people who haven't even posted anything on any board PMing them begging for codes?
I have had 8 PMs since last night all people with 0 posts asking me to give them my codes. Some have even PMed me multiple times saying they know that I'm online and can I send a code that they need now.
I have no problem sharing but this is a little ridiculous.

ouch, that seems a bit much. All the requests/transactions I've participated in have been very civil.
 
Hey guys, I work for Starbucks... at the end of the day we have more song cards than we know what to do with. I'll start bringing home the surplus for the rest of the promotion (only about nine days now), but am more than happy to give codes to whomever wants them. :)

Do you work in a retail Starbucks? About how many cards does your Starbucks get per day? Do you think all stores get the same number?

Eh, no worries, really. I do work in a retail store, one of about 57,000 in downtown Denver. I've never counted the number of cards, but I would guess it around 300 per artist. I imagine they send different amounts to different stores (corporate has some weird-ass way of classifying each store), but probably not too much variation among them. They sent them all in a large-ish box before the promotion, but I'm hesitant to open them before the date for which they're intended. I'll try and scrounge up some old cards, but I'm pretty sure we just tossed them alll (sinful, I know). I'll keep everyone posted though! :)

I agree! I am happy with the the politeness of everyone here. Not to get too off subject but this is my first impression of MacRumors and it's very good. A friend suggested I join some forums and, well, I might just have to check out some other threads.

To get back to the subject, thanks to anyone whose been generous with codes and civil in trading!
